No, canelo did not want to come down to 152, floyd said the only way the fight was going to be made if they agreed on a catchweight so he said fine...thats how bad he wanted to fight floyd.. your ******ed, stop defending him.

Floyd fought Cotto at 154 why couldn't he fight canelo there?...

Wait, can Floyd even make 152lbs? He didn't even make 147 last fight.. lol Floyd's going to be fat.. lol
You have it the other way around. Canelo never wanted a CW but was forced to to get the fight on and they settled for 152. How can Canelo offer 150lbs when he couldn't even make that 3 years ago when there was a CW of 150 against Hatton? Kind of proves what you are saying is BS.

Floyd fans are having trouble with this CW thing since they had been so against it for many years but now:

My hero Floyd loves CWs = I now defend CWs at all costs

152 will be a breeze to make from 165 with two months to go. I'd even say its a benefit getting a little lower than his last two fights and fighting at the weight he was before that. A little lighter on his feet, a little faster.

Anyone still *****ing about the weight really needs to drop it. 13 pounds in two months and he hasn't even started the heavy training is a lot less than most fighters have to drop.

13 pounds is still less than the one month weigh in, and he's there two months out already before camp.

lol You're still here? Such a little **** fan boy.. GTFOH.

"It's what I want, the Mayweather fight. That's what we put on the table. I feel more mature and for that I am willing to go down to 150 pounds," said Canelo to Sal Rodriguez. "De la Hoya said he was going to pursue the Mayweather fight [for me]. We are ready for it. It's what people want, for me to fight someone like [Mayweather]."

It's only the irrelevant pac-stans that have nothing else better to do. If ANYTHING they should be crying that Floyd is forcing Alvarez to come in fat as Alvarez stated he would drop to 150. Floyd agreed to 152.

Should this fight be at 154? Sure, but 150, 152, 154 doesn't benefit Floyd. He's a 147 fighter who didn't even make 147 in his last fight. This weight benefits the 22 year old. However weight is not the issue. It's the experience or lack there of. It's why Hoya didn't want to make the fight in the past when everyone said Floyd was ducking him.

You bring up something from 2011! Nice try Wess ....

Canelo wasn't ready back then even though he "thought" he was. Man, he still needs more time now! If you read up on Canelo, you would know that they told him that it was NOT the right time to challenge Floyd as he still had more learning to do!

Now they wanted Floyd but NOW they said a CW would be tough but Floyd gave them no choice.

Weight has nothing to with Alvarez not being ready. He asked for 150 and by waiting he got 152. It worked out for him.

However Floyd like a punk that he is offered 147, which was a low ball offer since Alvarez wanted 150. Now, Alvarez flipped it by saying he wants 154. Floyd said 152 and that is what they agreed to. The 147 champ vs the 154 champ. They are meeting in the middle with no rehydration clause.

You can't deny that Alvarez wanted 150 while Floyd wanted 147. They met in the middle of 147 and 154. But like I said, weight is not the issue. Lack of experience is, yet if Floyd had waited people would say he ducked him or was scared of him or some other pitiful claim.

Bottom line is, Alvarez called Floyd out at 150, Floyd who didn't even make 147 last fight agreed to 152. Like I have always said it should have been at 154. Not denying that just like nobody can deny that Alvarez wanted this fight at 150 but is now getting a better deal of 152.

Reynoso says there will be multiple sparring partners and Canelo would reach 130-rounds by the time of the fight. There is a nutritionist, someone in charge of the food, and several other staffers brought in for the biggest camp of Canelo's career.

Oh, how terrible. Alvarez enters camp 13 pounds over the agreed-upon weight for the Mayweather fight. There is no way he can drain himself down to 152 pounds in two months.
