However Floyd like a punk that he is offered 147, which was a low ball offer since Alvarez wanted 150. Now, Alvarez flipped it by saying he wants 154. Floyd said 152 and that is what they agreed to. The 147 champ vs the 154 champ. They are meeting in the middle with no rehydration clause.

You can't deny that Alvarez wanted 150 while Floyd wanted 147. They met in the middle of 147 and 154. But like I said, weight is not the issue. Lack of experience is, yet if Floyd had waited people would say he ducked him or was scared of him or some other pitiful claim.

Bottom line is, Alvarez called Floyd out at 150, Floyd who didn't even make 147 last fight agreed to 152. Like I have always said it should have been at 154. Not denying that just like nobody can deny that Alvarez wanted this fight at 150 but is now getting a better deal of 152.

Are you not a Floyd fan? You must know that an offer made in 2011 has no bearing with what's being negotiated in 2013. That 150 was off the table as soon as they realized that Canelo is having trouble even making 154! They made that crystal clear for all the rest of us when Canelo, his team, Oscar, Schaeffer all said Canelo can't go below 154. Were you on vacation then?

but I agree with you that the main concern is experience but it is also followed by stamina issues, being flat-footed, low work-rate ......

Canelo wasn't ready back then even though he "thought" he was. Man, he still needs more time now! If you read up on Canelo, you would know that they told him that it was NOT the right time to challenge Floyd as he still had more learning to do!

Now they wanted Floyd but NOW they said a CW would be tough but Floyd gave them no choice.
Alvarez won't be ready for Mayweather until Mayweather is 40 years old and so far past his prime he will have to hire private detective to find it. Face the facts. Alvarez is not a good, let alone great, fighter. If a 23-year old guy who has 42 pro fights and has held a world championship belt for two years is not ready to fight a 36-year old who should have retired five years ago, the 23-year old is not very good. Period! You can sugar coat it all you want to, but Alvarez is not that good.

It's funny you talk about negotiations not being valid years later. Thats how I felt about Pac wanting his same deal that Floyd initially agreed to years prior. It's just not valid anymore.. Most believe so which is why Pac looked like the duck wanting such deal that wasn't on the table anymore..

Anyway, all I did was point out that Floyd wanted 147 while Alvarez wanted 150 but later changed it to 154. Floyd changed from 147 to 152. Is it right? No, it should be at 154 like vs the WW Cotto who was fighting at JMW.

The 22 year old who fights at JMW has the weight advantage in this fight. Not the 36 year old who didn't even make 147 last fight. But again, weight is not the issue here.

As for Floyd. You forgot the simple fact that Floyd has a belt at 154. That is what makes this CW thing the more silly. Three 154 belts on the line, both fighters with titles at 154 yet its a CW.
This is the Chump, that say's He'd beat the true GOAT, Sugar Ray Robinson.
I wonder what the Catch Weight demand would be?
Fact is he would still be in the Prelims in SRR's time.

Floyd fought Cotto at 154 why couldn't he fight canelo there?...
Also demanded a Rematch Clause, maybe Boy's not so confident
against a Cat he'd rather have AVOIDED!!!

Is El FRAUD losing his confidence? or maybe Leonard has stopped those special Breast Rubs? If so Flint is ready and willing to polish FRAUD's Kane, and do as directed!

                • Floyd was honest when he said that he doesn't belong at 154 and the Cotto fight was tough. Cotto came into the ring a super middleweight. Canelo comes to the ring weighing more than Golovkin (that a fact) and Golovkin fought Macklin weighing 172 lbs. So, Floyd will weight 150-152 on fight night. Floyd will be fighting a light heavyweight. Now isn't that asking too much? Did anyon say anything when Oscar made Floyd fight at 154, use the smaller gloves, the smaller ring? Uh no, it is what the cash cow of boxing always does, they call the shots. Canelo will soon be at a point where he is doing that as well, it just will not after this fight, that's all! The kid will have a future after he loses this fight.

                  • Hey Floyd just listened to Apollo creeds advice...If you stand toe-to-toe with this bum, he'll kill you. It doesn't take a man to stand there and get your head beat off...! Funny how it applies to this fight.

                    • 165 is a perfect weight at this point. Canelo will lose the weight in a healthy, smart way.

I see Canelo being very strong on fight night.
