Anyone else think Nonito should just jump straight to 140 now? I mean if Pacman can fight those bigger guys and weigh around the same as Nonito.

You guys think he will be better if he doesn't have to drain himself to make weight?

do you think before you type stuff?
      serious question

      122 to 140 lbs?

fighting rigondeaux (a baby sized man,) then fighting matthysse and garcia (two robust, strong punching, normal sized dudes?)

i think they've actually got it figured out, and that it's we who are mistaken about a great many things.

i wouldn't mind seeing donaire fight for a world title at 126...get that 4th world title in 4 weight classes..

awhile ago donaire said that he plans to retire as a lightweight...

LOL a lot of people here really don't. Which is quite surprising as people who post here are obviously hardcore boxing fans or they would not be here.

Nonito has always been too big for his weight class. It's the only reason he was dominating. Nonito would get destroyed or won't look great against guys his own size.

I think "walks around at" is a meaningless term. Fighters can walk around at any weight they chose and some fighters chose to walk around fat. Rigo looked way leaner in the ring than Donaire did in my opinion. At one time I thought Donaire was the best fighter in the world pfp.I think with every weight class Donaire goes up he will be less effective and less of a top pfp fighter. I did not think he was as good at 122 as he was at 118. If he goes up to 126 or 130 or 135 I think he will not be as outstanding at those higher weights as he was at the lower weights. If he really feels weak at 122 then he should move up. I just have a feeling he could stay at 122 and be strong if he did it properly and slowly with the help of a good trainer. Some fighters wait until the last week or two to take off lots of weight and that is no good.I am not him so I don't know anything for sure about his best fighting weight. He does seem to be less of a great fighter as his weight goes up.
