Mares is the key to the Rigo dilemma.
Abner leaving GBP and signing up with TR even if only for 2 fights, Donaire and Rigo, will be good for boxing.

Recall that Arum offered Mares a Donire fight and GBP turned it down.
Mares could have had what Rigo got ($1 million) if GBP accepted.
Mares got only $350K (plus/minus) as undercard in the May/Guerrero fight.
Bottom line is Mares, of course, is not happy.

Mares vs Rigo would be a big fight. Maybe bigger than Donaire/Rigo.
(Donaire is scheduled to fight Darchiniyan in Nov, so....

Wasn't it the other way around when GBP offered 3 million to TR to settle a bout between Mares and Donaire...then some b.s. caim up on Arums behalf and the fight never materialized? I think the contract itself was even posted on NSB forum where GBP was proving their end of the bargain.

No way Mares leaves GBP they been treating him lovely and been with him from the jump, gave him all his oppurtunity.
