Floyd and Manny both carried the sport after Oscar left. They're are the only two that can be categorized as popular sports figures not just popular boxers.

If Floyd wants sole credit for making a lasting impact in boxing, he needs to use the CBS/Showtime deal as a platform to market the sport. It makes too much sense for them to have a big boxing event on CBS for free. This would attract many different demographics and bring some much needed positive attention to the sport.

Yes floyd has super-skills but if you constantly fight the top guys instead of always fighting the top names, he would get beat...

All fighters get beat if you fight top level guys in their prime.. Floyd's resume after 130, is very thin with top level guys in their prime....
