At the time,,, Dude was like 35-1 coming out of africa,,, Not saying he is a hall of famer, but at the time it was n'dou peak... Floyd could have choosen worse opponents, and the fight was pretty entertaining.....

It's all about objectivity. Look, I dislike LeBron James as much as the next man, but I would be a fool to deny the Kids greatness and that he is the best at this moment. To say Floyd isn't a "good" boxer is just nonsense. To say Floyd Mayweather is just a "runner" is just ridiculous. Runners don't land on the highest punch percentage in the history of the sport. Runners don't collect 26 Knockouts. Guy's that aren't good boxers don't limit their opponents landing percentage to the lowest in boxing history. That type of stuff does not happen if you are not an elite, complete and intelligent fighter. Whether you like it or not, or want to admit it because you personally despise the man, he is at the moment the best. I love brawlers and a high action bout. Fighters like Brandon Rios, Pacquiao, Matthyse, Miadana, etc. Blood and guts warriors. But is there no room in this sport for pure boxers like Mayweather, Ward, Rigo etc.There's no room for fighters like that? They have to be labeled runners? Boxing was around before Floyd Mayweather and it will be around after him. But to say he hasn't been the face of boxing since 2007 is just dumb. To be fair, Pacquiao brought in a lot of new fans that weren't necessarily interested in boxing before but that's been a blessing and a curse. With that being said most of the posters on here wouldn't give Mayweather credit if he fought and beat both Klitschko brothers at the same time. Seeing those people worked up about anything "Mayweather" always makes my day.

yes coming out of africa meaning he fought nobody and had a padded record. he was also a 130 pound fighter. one of floyds biggest cherry picks and it looks like it fooled some people. wow 31-1 with 30 knockouts what a record! remember when kell brook fought that bum saldivia? same thing. a bum's peak still isn't very good. sure it was entertaining in the "what in the world is this bum doing in the ring" sense.
