Apparently Alvarado was not attending his rehab appointments for his injury on his hand, and because of that Arum did not want to risk his hand being re-injured during training and the fight being called off, since if the fight was called off that would be a huge downer to Pac.

It's obviouse Alvarado would make Pacquie look bad which is why Rios was the chosen one. Rios is perfect for PAC. I just hope this other cherry pick back fires and puts Pacquie to sleep. If you bothered to read you would realize that if his hand was recently injured it could be injured again in training, which means he may have to pull out of the event in China, which is incredibly detrimental to business, it would ruin the whole event.

If he injures it with Ruslan it's a different story, it's not exactly headlining a PPV event. It's safer to use Rios than Alvarado.
