I dunno, you have about as much proof as anyone else, which is close to zero. All we have is Arum stating that Alvarado hurt his hand in the Rios fight and his doctor had said he had been missing his rehab sessions, which then lead onto the injury may 'potentially' re-occur in training before the Pacquaio fight.
If you are for the first time doing a huge event in China with your biggest star, you can't afford for a fighter to drop out via injury, so I'd say either way it made more sense to have Rios, no injury risk, no boring fight risk.Comment

I think he beats Alvarado easily too.. this one is just made to make pac look spectacular again.. and it's really a win/win situation for rios.. makes $$, not expected to win, so if he loses fine.. just hope ****** ass overrated Garcia don't let him take a beating like margie!!Comment

yet you'd secure a TV deal for 1 month before, in the fighters hometown, where he is the main event and primary ticket seller. if the risk is so high why would you do a card in his hometown where if he gets hurt the card is pretty much dead?I dunno, you have about as much proof as anyone else, which is close to zero. Your points about china are plausible. Whats more plausible is Bob's biggest earner got KTFO in his last fight he which he was favored to win. That same fighter, who blew up because of his vicious KO's, will not have KO'd anyone in over 4 years. He also hasn't won in over a year.
SO they need him to have a KO victory in his return fight. Rios is almost sure to lose by KO, Alavarado would box and move and I don't think Bob can risk another Shane type victory when trying to bring manny back and build up china as a fight mecca.
but yeah, the wrist injury is more plausible.Comment

Couldnt agree more.
I had Manny ahead in the Marquez IV fight, he was beating JMM thoroughly until he got caught.
Rios is not even near the level of Marquez his unborn baby and has a punchers chance, not more I think.
Manny will show him angles he never saw before and he wont see the punches coming.
Manny by KO in rd7Comment
