i forget i think it changed in the 80's.
At least half the threads on NSB are truly about criticizing Floyd or Manny, or their fans as an agenda, hidden or obvious, I don't hesitate to call the TS's out who do it either. It's trolling and it's childish.

Boxing fans who actually come to discuss boxing recognize one another and carry on despite the children playing bait-the-fan.

15 rounds will only force fighters to pace themselves more which will end up only giving you more rounds with less action. No thanks as well as no thanks to open scoring.

That's a legit argument, however there was an abundance of amazing fights in the 15 round era so it's hard to really say. Imagine the Ali-Fraizer trilogy being limited to 12, or how about Leonard-Hearns 1 shortened by 3 critical rounds. I think 15 round fights really separates the men from the boys, so I'm in favor of it.

To an extent this may be true, but I believe we'll see more knock outs.

i think people need to watch some old fights. ****loads of knockouts happen late. how many championship fights recently have we watch and it never even gets going. this is boxing . they get paid enough and the pacing agrument is garnage.

The Mancini-Kim affair was just one of many excuses used to get rid if 15 round title fights. The real reason was the TV networks who wanted fights they could squeeze nicely into one hour time blocks to sell to advertisers. 15 round fights typically exceeded that when you factored pre-fright introductions and post-fight reading of the score cards.

                      Bottom-line is money talks.

Want to see one of the last 15 round title fights? Go watch Holyfield-Qawi I: It's an absolute war, 15 rounds of non-stop brutal action.
