It was an exciting fight. In the first 3 rounds Mattyhse was throwing hard fast shots that were barely missing Garcia I was worried he was going to rock him with one of those. He actually ate a couple of those shots too

That knockdown was huge though. That was a Lucas round and would have had him down about a point and a good chance to comeback.

That eye swelling shut changed everything. I thought Lucas was looking really good for a couple of rounds and coming on, then bam! That eye closed and he was basically done. He was completely thrown off his game.

I was very impressed with Garcia's composure and discipline. He did what he had to do.

I know a lot of people are reveling in Matthysse losing, and we brought it on ourselves, but it was a good, competitive fight. I am fully aware of what I set myself up for these past couple months, and I'm not going to fight it. Sorry if that disappoints the people dishing it out.

No...the fight was over in the Mayweather/Canelo fight after 1 round. Matthysse/Garcia was competitive all the way throughout.

I was surprised too, kinda like I was surprised during Thurman/Chaves. I was sure that this fight would end in a KO, but the pace wasn't nearly as fast as I thought it was gonna be either.
