It's very harsh to say he quit in those circumstances.
No it's not because he quit. He was getting hit more times than a fat girl in the rain and started turning his back because he didn't want to fight any more. He was looking for the ref to stop it to try to save face. Big stiff quitting fairy.

He did complain in the post fight. He could have easily continued. Haye was done quite a few favours that night.

No the round would have ended. But hey if they had ended it 10 seconds early like they did for Haye, maybe he wouldn't have even got hit

He didn't ask for it to be stopped either or shake his head. He was spent, out of it.
He got dropped hard twice with the cleanest shots of the fight, most of the punches you say he walked through were caught on the gloves or jabs. Getting dropped hard twice that you are struggling to make the count = not being able to take the power.

Macklin lasted 4 against Golovkin, Chisora lasted 5.

Haye was landing nice potshots here and there, the first monster punch he landed dropped Chisora like a ton of bricks...the next one levelled him. Macklin wasn't known for his iron chin either, Chisora was; he had never been really hurt until fighting Haye and he got rocked big time.

He couldn't take the power and got stopped for the first time.

Lol, this is the dumbest thing I've ever seen you post. And that says a lot. Chisora was in no shape whatsoever to continue. He didn't know we're he was and was backin up when the ref walked towards him. It's a sport, you're not supposed to die in the ring.

Mackin was all over the place though, he was knocked onto the ropes early in the fight, he was also cut. Chisora by contrast just kept coming forward walking through Hayemakers. It was accumulation as much as power that did for him, same for Audley who iirc didn't even go down.

Edit: just checked, he did go down but took a lot of flush shots and still got up again

Let's not act like Haye didn't land a hard punch until the 5th round.

He got up, put his gloves up and nodded at the referee. That doesn't sound like a fighter who "doesn't know where he is".

@ "die in the ring". Haye fans are the queens of hyperbole.

Audley went down, and was about to go down again.

Haye had landed a some good shots, the one in the 5th was the first bomb. That left hook that dropped him had nothing to do with accumulation.

                    He can take the power.

See my edit. Audley took about 25 punches before going down and then took a further 7 punches after he got up. By contrast Price sparked Harrison out cold.

Don't get me wrong Haye has some power, but it's not how some people are describing it.
