Sexton, McDermott level...they thought Thompson was done lol, I bet Mrs Thompson gave her husband a better performance than what was offered last night.

Maybe he has natural stamina issues but I've never seen it before. He went 7 rounds with that Ramon guy (can't remember his name) he has been in the ring with Skelton, Audley, McDermott, Sexton, all decent domestic level fighters and didn't really have nay problems there. He came in at 250 lbs but he's done that previously. How did he gas so quick? Why did he gas? Was he mentally prepared for this? Were there too many voices in his head?

David needs to find a defensive trainer or an all around trainer, like how Wladmir and his glass chin started working with Emmanuel.
Wlad's chin is a pure granite compared to Price's.

The BS about Wlad's 'glass chin' is becoming ridiculous. Wlad took Haye's, Chagaev's, Thompson's best punches without even being close of going down.

Sander's clean punch would put down just about any HW not named Vitali.

Maybe Maloney can go cap in hand to Eddie Hearn and get Price a spot on the next HW Prizefighter

The blame should be laid solely on maloney for matching a 15-0 fighter vs a top heavyweight. Fury fought a few solid journeymen then beat a couple fringe contenders to get in the position he is in now. One thing hennessey didnt do was match fury up with a world level HW with one punch ko power until he was set to bring in 7 digit paychecks. Hennessey has done an outstanding job matching fury to this point. He never allowed fury's weakness(chin) to be exposed early. He's been dropped twice but neither was from a big puncher. Price beat a few tomato cans, a few domestic brits & audley harrison then he got thrown to the wolves. A few more domestic wins would have been better especially if they were over a couple durable journeymen who can take a punch. Then a step up to a maurice harris or derric rossy type fighter. They went from audley harrison to legit contender...

All price needs is rounds. He is C+ with excellent power. Stamina & his chin are problems. After thompson got up price was probably in shock. I bet he wasn't expecting him to get up & regrouped. Price learned lots more in the second fight. I said what would happen if he got hit? Would he get up? can he go 10 rounds? What if his opponent can take his best punch? He failed on all accounts. Fury went 12, got off the floor twice, showed he could make adjustments midfight, etc. fury passed most of the tests so far. He is a contender & price is still a prospect. There are two commonwealth title fights he could make. Neven pajkic & alex leapai are 2 fights he should consider. Both are winnable & offer different obstacles for price. Pajkic has a rock solid chin & is aggressive but lacks fire power so he tends to be busy & in your face which leaves him open for huge shots. Leapai is similar to pajkic but he has power. His chin is decent too but the key in a leapai matchup is the 2 WBO asian pacific regional belts he holds. Last i looked leapai was #9 in the WBO. A win over leapai would immediately get him back in the WBO mix... He could go abroad for both fights or for the leapai one at least... Just my opinion to get back on track.

Price needs to learn everything again from scratch I think. He just walked forward throwing bombs expecting to win, what an idiot.

There are a few would be conclusions from his last fight...

1: He is not very intelligent or doesn't listen to his corner men or even both???
                2: Stamina problems definitely.
3: Poor trainer maybe? or Maybe price is as good as he is going to get at 30.
4: Defense esp in close, Thompson was hitting him through the guard at will.

He had no jab what so ever, was unable to fight up close, no head movement, and what looked like a extremely poor game plan.

The only way I see Price improving is with someone like Adam Booth, he has the tools but doesn't seem to use them intelligently.

i think thompson was way too big a step up... Harrison, skelton.... Tony thompson is B+ top 5-10 in the world harrison is C+ which is european/solid journeymen level at best. He needed a few more C+ level guys on his resume. a C+ guy beats all the usual domestic /journeymen guys but when stepping up they lose. B is gatekeeper/fringe contender(top 11-20)...

Haye didn't get to throw his best punch on Klit. If he had and made full contact, Klit would be in a coma.

Back then it was considered glass. But Emmanuel turned Wladimir into a rangey fighter with a strong defense and look where Wladimir is now.
