We all know that Wlad refuses to fight his brother and I respect not wanting to fight close family and all that but what Vitali has effectively done is killed the hw division because there will never be an undisputed champ as long as he is actively holding a major belt. The sooner he retires the sooner boxing can move one step closer to a universally recognized single heavyweight champion.

Lol it don't matter if it's Undisputed or not when you think of heavyweight ppl just think klitchko so whether its one klitchko or both the klitchkos dominate heavyweight -
While I agree with you in essence, everyone already know he's not the real champ and his brother is a far greater fighter. His WBC belt is nothing but decoration. It is very selfish of him not to give it up so Wlad can unify like a true all time great.Comment

They had a dream to rule the division as brothers. While I agree Wlad should be holder of all belts there is no need to rush. Vitali is retiring soon enough.Comment

Well the problem is with both being active is that the eternal question of which brother is better will never be answered. The best case scenario is if one of them (preferably Vitali) retired so they're vicegrip on the division is released. To the general public the hw division has historically been THE division in boxing but a fractured title doesn't help that. Even though Lewis wasn't the draw that previous undisputed champs like Tyson and Holy were he was still the champ and recognized by all as the champ which made his fights more attractive to watch at least by American audiences ( I am aware the Klits are stars in Germany).Comment
