I know Golovkin isn't nearly as tested as Martinez is. But if you watch their fights you can clearly see that Martinez has a tendency of being dropped or hurt at some point during his fights. Golovkin is a master at cutting of the ring and no middleweight in the world can take too many of Golovkin's punches.

In other words I believe Golovkin would KO Martinez in 8-10 rounds after Martinez has success early on.

      This ^

I am much more interested to see how well would GGG do against SMW like Froch or Andre.

But he should wait till he fights Martinez.

Martinez does not have a tendancy of getting hurt, at all.

I've seen him hurt once and it was round 12 against a practically cruiserweight Chavez. Knocked off balance? Sure, but not hurt. The Martinez from the Chavez fight wins by UD (at least) IMO.

GGG still hasn't fought anyone even close to as good as Martinez. Dealing with the lateral movement, speed, big power, angles and also workrate of that Martinez would be a tall order for any fighter.

          There is a certain pattern..

Before every fight GGG is assets by the same comment 'he hasn't faced noone yet, etc...'

But importantly after every fight more and more people are believers. There was a few people in here who didn't believe GGG beats Rosado...

I am among those who believe in GGG even if he didn't do all of it it yet. I don't give him a credit just as yet, but I believe he beats not just Martinez but possibly Froch and Ward too... Time will tell.

I believe GGG is something special.

Prime Sergio beats and bloodies GGG. Spped accuracy movement.

Sergio, I like GGG but he's not hard to hit. Have we forgotten what he did to Williams...

Are you seriously comparing GGG and Williams....

I just hope this fight happens and people would not say 'old, shot Martinez' once GGG KOs him.

Martinez has balance issues and VS GGG you need to have balance or you are getting moved LOl

It would be a great fight. People are too hyped about Golovkin destroying a fringe level fighter in Macklin who was tailor made for him. Golovkin's style will suit Sergio. He'll walk him onto fast counters and could slice his face up if not hurt him. Golovkin will corner him at times though and land hard. It's an intriguing fight.

That pattern exists because it's there. GGG's doing what he's supposed to do and beating guys he is supposed to beat.

Check the threads; I had Macklin getting stopped inside 6 as his style was all wrong against GGG and I never gave Rosado even a slight chance.

I think GGG is very good, but I'd have him losing VERY wide to Ward, also getting beat via UD against Froch and Prime Martinez. All of those guys like come forward fighters, GGG is that, albiet a very good one.
