People are getting too hung up on this unbeatable tag. Lewis could be beaten just like everyone else. He had his off nights just like everyone else. At his very best though, he is one of the hardest HWs to beat in history.Comment

I don't think anyone said he "left his prime" but he clearly wasn't in prime condition in the first Rahman fight.

That says to me he's great when he's trying to win but once he's won he doesn't put in the same effort, work and preparation-which are the things that directly affect a fighters "beatability".Comment

If he isn't in prime condition for a title defense that says something about his professionalism and his ability to be beaten. You can't just select his best performances-you look at his whole career.

If he had an ATG like Ali or Foreman in the other corner, you best believe he's taking them seriously and he's going to be very hard to beat.Comment

If you're saying he's beatable when he's not in prime condition then that isn't saying much at all. Fighters sometime fight down to the level of their opposition.

The problem is you will fight more of the fisrt group than the 2nd.Comment

Although you are not saying it-you are coming thisclose to suggesting Lewis has a better chance to lose to average and 2nd tier HWT's than he does top tier ATG's because he'd take all of the ATG's seriously but fight to the level of or not take the 1st group seriously.

I think Lewis beat Holyfiled both times quite clearly. I had the second fight 2 rounds for Lennox. Mercer fight was much closer IMO. I actually had Mercer being closer of taking that one.
Lennox combined many great things that not many did. He had a great resume, some great wins (beat them all) and he retired on the top. That's quite rare in any division.
Regarding H2H I have prime Ali clearly beating him. Wlad/Foreman - Lennox is 50:50 for me. Vitali is pretty close as well but I would favor Lennox. Tyson is a strange one. Very prime Tyson would be a big trouble for both Lennox or Wlad. I doubt he wouldn't land at least once and it might be enough. I would actually give a better chance to Vitali of beating very prime Tyson.
Lennox beats Holmes 8-9/10 IMO.
Lennox is top3-5 ATG in my book.Comment
