Catch weights....good or bad for boxing???

I think its bad in title fights.. Title fights should be at the regular weight limit...

I dont care if its non-title...Especially if its a dream fight between two guys of different division,, Like if froch and GGG fought at 165 for no belts... If both guys agree then who cares...

All this talk about manny and catchweights is non-sense...

The only real catchweight was when he fought cotto..

Oscar wanted the fight at 147 and called all the shots..
Margarito was a 147 guy who barely fought at 154,, The only reason that fight took place at 150 was so Arum could promote it as a vacant title fight, trying to get manny his 8th division... Margs wasnt drained...
Im pretty sure he fought clottey and shane with no catchweight...
he did fight guys at their weight..

And you are talking about a guy that started at 108... in 2005 you would have been called crazy if you suggested manny would fight margs, shane, oscar, cotto.. People would say he would get destroyed...
People even thought that morales at 130 would be too big for manny, but now we are 8 years later and people are complaining that manny doesnt fight any threats..

Catch Weights are fine EXCEPT when titles are on the line. A title should never be on the line of the opponent isn't allowed to weigh in at the weight limit for the title that is being fought for.
