Oscar didn't make Floyd a star. Floyd made Floyd a star by beating all challenges, being exciting, winning a bronze in the Olympics and signing with Top Rank early.
Why didn't Mosley become a box office star after beating Oscar?
Your rubbish logic has been dismissed.
Ok since this is both our opinions correct? Well lets go to the numbers...because the numbers do not lie. Now if you can dispute what Floyd himself stated then you sir are a king.
Ricky Hatton will be remembered as a better fighter than Paul Williams....period....you guys kill me with this P Dub talk as if he was great or even close to it.
Floydie's just mad that Canelo has a huge following... a he!!uva lot bigger than he had at 22. Imagine what it'll be like after he makes an excellent showing in the ring for this fight. Funny how Floydie goes off every time he's backed into the corner by reality.
Funny how you said "excellent showing" instead of when Canelo wins. You know wasup.
That tirade Floyd went on was in response to Oscar referring to Canelo as "the biggest star in boxing" just prior to him taking the taking the mic at the LA press conference.
Funny how you jumped to the end of Paul Williams reign but skipped the two years he stalked Mayweather for a fight or the fact he was named the mandatory but never got his fight. Not saying Paul would've/Could've beat him but that man was ducked and I don't blame anyone for ducking him but don't act like half of the boxers in his divisions weren't shidding themselves at the thought of facing him.
Paul Williams was an anomaly in the light middleweight division... With a height of 6′ 1″ / 185cm and a reach of 79″ / 201cm Williams should have fought in the super middleweight division, if not higher...

Try telling that to cuz who is flat out hating on Paul and underrating him...calling him nothing special and claiming Hatton will be remembered as a better fighter somehow. Paul is a casualty of promotion and limited training. That kid had immense potential which he reached somewhat but never where he should've reached.
DLH has to keep saying 'I think this is the one floyd might lose.' He's trying to make money here. Does anybody really expect him to say, "yeah, I think Canelo will probably lose to a backpedaling floyd via UD" ... cause that will really put bums in seats
