GGG has been fighting hand picked opponents while Matthysse has been consitently fighting top 10 ranked guys at 140 for the most part. Golovkin had a impressive win this weekend but it pales in comparison to Matthysse's ko over Peterson.

And Im not just talking about Matthysse's resume, I think he's the better boxer. Matthysse did well against two slick southpaws that had a significant hand speed advantage over him. GGG hasn't faced any boxers that have really been able to trouble him. And its not because he's just that good.

Hand picked opponents? Nobody will fight him because of how good he is, learn your facts.

You do not have to look at opposition to see true talent, and GGG has miles better talent than Lucas, and that is simply the truth. His record both amateur and professional speaks for itself, and all the boxing commentators have also agreed Golovkin is the overall better fighter.

          yes.

GGG's potential is much greater. Lucas should have ko'd a shot judah and a limited devon. that's what the next pacquiao would have done.

Just because Lampley and Kellerman say it doesn't make it so. I have a brain that makes it own decisions.

Sure you do... yet you think Lucas compares to Golovkin?

yes Golovkin is a more technically skilled fighter than Lucas

but I think his skillset as it stands is good enough to hang with elite fighters

I think GGG is a tiny bit better. They are two of the best fighters in the world in my opinion. I thought Matthysse clearly won his fights with Judah and Alexander. He has improved since then and he has learned that he must knock fighters out to keep from getting robbed in the USA. I don't think GGG or Matthysse will lose any fights for many years. I think they are here to stay on top. They are much more the future of boxing than Broner in my opinion.

While I do think golovkin has the higher ceiling, the best proof of skills is winning and Lucas has beaten everybody he's ever fought, so right now it's Lucas

Matthyse has fought different types of fighters so I would probably go with him at the moment.
