Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr. on Facing Andre Ward, Making 160, Canelo-Floyd

Former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32KOs) believes he can still make the middleweight limit of 160-pounds, and even drop down as low as 158. But he says a move to the super middleweight limit of 168-pounds would improve his performance and make him even stronger. Chavez says that he signed a contract to face veteran Brian Vera on September 7 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, at a maximum weight of 165 pounds. Chavez would like to have either a regional or silver WBC title at stake in the match.

First choice would be for him to face Golovkin but if he does go to 168 then Bika would make for an entertaining fight.

I always talked smack about Chavez but I think the ones keeping him from Martinez was Arum. Maybe his dad too? But I'm not sure. Lets see if they let him fight Ward. Not gonna lie... dangerous fight for BOTH guys.

Jr's not looking 4 a legacy so the eziest is Bika...Ward would dominate him, GGG may tko him...Alvarez won't go up...Jr will take no chances as he needs WBC protection...jr talks a good game...
