Yes I can. He did NOTHING worth noting to earn a mando and nothing since. That was all a farce and HBO turning him down for a champ who wasn't a draw on his own is not the same as a duck. Almost beating JCC was a clear indication of how average Jr. is. If he wasn't a Cruiserweight in the ring, JCC loses like a club fighter to Sergio for all of the rounds instead of the late drama.

    Missing Zbik? Who cares.

Come on, you don't really believe that? I have watched this sport for over 50 years and have not seen a middleweight that has this much promise. This guy can fight and is frigging dangerous, I seriously doubt Martinez could use his legs enough to stay away from Golovkin. I know that he would not make it to the 7th round. This guy will be the P4P king before he retires, book it now.

Sergio will come back against a soft touch, then injure his hand and return against another soft touch a year later and the cycle will continue

The hell you talkin about? you serious? you know boxing?

Martinez vs Cotto? lmao, cotto is a natural welter Martinez is a natural middleweight, even tho he's a small middleweight is so much heavier than Cotto, total mismatch, imagine if Trout beat Cotto what would Martinez do, besides size difference in weight and height is ridiculous.

Martinez vs Golovkin or Quillin, anything else doesn't make sense, Chavez Jr. rematch would make sense in the financial spot, that would be his last huge paycheck on his career guaranteed. Mayweather and Canelo are not fighting him. Mayweather has the balls to fight agains a very heavy Jr. Middleweight in Canelo but Martinez is so much bigger than Canelo, and Canelo already said he would keep fighting a little bit more on Jr. Middleweight.

I don't think Sergio is afraid of GGG, but I think Dibella is afraid of GGG.

Love Sergio's style and his demeanor out of ring but feel that GGG takes him out pretty easy. Sergio struggled against the Macklin and Murray's-he is slowing down, his legs are going fast. GGG has unreal power with top Olympic level skills. As was said earlier he is the future P4P king.

Cliff, once again, is dead on right. Sergio didn't duck Zbik--HBO refused to buy the fight and forced Sergio to fight someone else. Then HBO turned around and bought JCC Jr. vs. Zbik. Zbik probably won that fight. I was at Staples that night and for the first 6 rounds or so, Zbik was precise and was drilling Jr. But Zbik has zero power and, if anything, is almost tailor made for Sergio. Sergio would have loved to fight Zbik and KO him. Jr. isn't very good and his struggles against Zbik don't make Zbik a real contender. Jr. reminds me a lot of Librado Andrade but bigger in the weight class. Very limited skills, but tough (in Jr.'s case because of his size). I'd like to see Andrade vs. Jr. at 168. Jr. is in real trouble when he goes to 168. There are some real good guys at that division and Jr.'s weight advantage is going to be minimized. Jr. isn't heavy handed at 160. He'll get his ass handed to him at 168. Andre Ward might kill him.

I'll root for Sergio versus almost anyone, but GGG looked like a monster in there last night. I hope it happens though.

Martinez is a natural 154 lber. He fought most of his career at 147. Cotto is a welterweight but people pretend like he's a legit 154 lber when it comes to "catchweights" and all like against Pacquiao. Canelo is way bigger than Martinez. He isn't as tall but he is way thicker. Props to Mayweather for fighting him, but let's not use size as an excuse for not fighting Martinez. The real reason Mayweather wouldn't fight Martinez at 154 a few years back was because of Martinez's speed and the fact he is a southpaw with good power at 154. As Emanuel Steward said before he died, Martinez was the fastest 154 lber he had ever seen. Martinez is slower now but Mayweather still wouldn't want to fight him.

Martinez only went to middleweight because nobody really wanted to fight him at 154 and there were easy pickings at middleweight. Martinez and Paul Williams were two guys that were matchup problems for everybody at 154 or 147. That's why they moved up to middleweight--to get bigger fights and make more money. Mayweather had every opportunity to fight Williams and Martinez at 147--but there wasn't enough money in it and they were too high risk for what would have been a relatively small pay out. Can't say I blame him. Al Haymon has made lots and lots of money for fighters by avoiding the highest risks. Just look at Andre Berto.

Golovkin would kill anybody from 154 to 160. His footwork is so solid that he is going to land something against anybody he faces. And, with that kind of power, it only takes one. That straight right that hurt Macklin in the first wasn't even that great of a punch. I can't remember the last time I've seen such heavy hands in a middleweight.
