      I think it fucking sucks.
It's kind of fitting to be honest. He put other fighter's health in danger using PEDs and now he's putting his own in danger. Ditto for the other old stagers like Botha, Jones, Holyfield, Mosley etc.

        Let's clear the air here...

Hi, I’m a business associate of James “Lights Out” Toney and I want to clear the air here. There’s a big misconception that James lashed out at the heckler at the Kenny Lemos fight in Colorado simply because he called him a bum. The heckler, which was Kenny Lemos’ brother, was dropping f-bombs and verbally provoking everybody in the ring, specifically James, when the ring announcer asked for James to return after he declared Kenny the winner. Once Kenny’s brother realized he miscalled the fight and was about to names James the winner he began to shout expletives towards James, James’ wife, his father (who is his manager as well), and myself. When James heard this guy at first he brushed it off, it wasn’t until he started aiming these expletives at his wife that James got highly upset. While James was being grabbed by the Lights Out team, Kenny’s brother started to heckle James’ father and I. As a matter of fact, this guy actually wanted to fight James, his father, and I. When Kenny’s brother was finally escorted out of the casino, Kenny himself came to me to help diffuse the situation claiming that the guy was his brother and that he was drunk. James soon after calmed down and got out of the ring to sign autographs and take pictures with his fans. I soon ran into Kenny again and I told him that I was sorry that it had to go down like that but that his brothers actions were totally unacceptable… he then apologized for his brother. Two things I can say about Kenny is that he’s a total class act and has big time heart (as far as boxing is concerned). Kenny even hung out with us for a bit in James’ dressing room.

For the record, when Kenny was originally announced the winner James stormed off in disbelief, we were all shocked as we knew that James had clearly had won the fight. When the ring announcer realized he had miscalled the fight James was asked to return to the ring, he was already upset and Kenny’s brother made the situation worse for everybody… this conflict didn’t need to happen! I understand that Kenny’s brother was upset that the decision was miscalled but this wasn’t the fault of James nor the Lights Out team… as a matter of fact the ring announcer not only erroneously miscalled that fight but also a previous fight that night.

As far as those who have made negative comments about James and his desire to fight the Klitschko brothers and other top fighters I ask you this question… who do you expect James or any fighter to want to fight other than the guys on top?!? James has nothing to prove to anybody, damn near any fighter would love to have done what he has done in boxing and for the sport of boxing. James has goals he has set for himself, and for nobody else but himself… and that is to retire as world heavyweight champion. James is working very hard for this goal, working out 3 times a day 7 days a week plus training daily. James is very well aware how his weight was hindered his ability to fight hence why he is working out and training as hard as he is now, as you can see in the pictures between his fight with Lucas Browne and Kenny Lemos he has definitely lost weight. At the moment he weighs 237 lbs. (without clothes) with the goal of going down to 215 lbs.

In conclusion, I hope this sets the record straight as far as what transpired that night in Colorado. The drama that Kenny’s brother started didn’t need to happen but unfortunately did. Kenny and James are cool with each other, and the Lights Out team looks to help get Kenny more fights in the future. As far as those who keep doubting James and keep talking negatively about him that’s your right to do so… but I will be thinking of you all when he shows you that you were wrong.

Real fans that care about boxing and boxers don't want to see James Toney get hurt, that is the reason.

I also think that the fans, and the buzz they do/don't generate, have a very important role to play in the careers of fighters. Things like PPV buys, ticket sales, and even silly message board posts are what push the best fighters into the spotlight and push those who need to retire out into the street (so to speak).

If we didn't take a few below-the-belt shots at people like Toney, RJJ, Nate Campbell, Holyfield, or Charlie Zelenoff.... how are they to know that fans no longer take them seriously? It doesn't mean that they weren't something to behold in their hayday. It just means that we're over them and they should move on to the next phase of their life, thanks for the memories.

I agree, fans are extremely important and they are very important to James... but as I've said before, James has set a goal for himself to retire as world heavyweight champion, he's not doing this to prove himself to anybody cause he has nothing else to prove... he's done it all.

By the way, why would you ever put Zelenoff in the same sentence as Toney, RJJ, Campbell, and Holyfield? Zelenoff never had fans nor a hayday... just keeping it real here

Real fans also should respect his decisions, I didn't want to see Oscar lose to Manny or Floyd, Mosely lose to Canelo, Casamayor lose to Bradley, or see Morales ever on an undercard. I don't like watching Toney do this to himself but I know where to draw the line between disrespecting him and respecting his decision and his love for the sport. It's hard to let go, and we never want to see our heroes decline, but put yourself in their shoes.

respect for the great James T. If he is going to continue this crazy train who will he fight next? I didn't see the Browne fight but it appears he got completely wiped out from the scores. Same with Lebedev which I did see part of. If that is the case and he really just needs money isn't there another way?

I know we can hardly understand what he is saying but I think he would still make a helluva personality on TV in some capacity.

He was injured early on against Lebedev so was basically a sitting duck for 10 rounds. Still wouldn't go down.
