Nothing new, Mayweather has never had a big traveling support. 90% of the arena was Brits when he fought Hatton. He does sell buckets of PPV's though which Canelo has yet to do.

Holy shyt that makes soooo much sense right. I mean on one hand you have Canelo tackling what 15% total Hispanic market of the US. Which leaves Floyd with an 85% market US market, and STILL not have no where near the same fanbase as Canelo.

Lets be real. Canelo has an entire nation on his back, and a large portion of the US Hispanic. Floyd does not even have most of the Black Community on his side, much less the whole of America on his side. Oscar is way over his head in this one. Canelo may be a big draw among his Mexican fans but he still has much room for improvement to become a crossover star.

GBP committed an error by trying to move Canelo to fast. Now he's obligated to prove he belongs with the big boys and landed strait on Mayweather's lap after his unimpressive performance against Trout.

Canelo has the ability to win some rounds and make it interesting, but he's still green and once Floyd adjusts, he will be taken to school. Maybe in two years the story would have been a little different.
