Do you give Miguel too much credit for having a past prime/still decent Mosley or Zab Judah as his career defining win? I guess my point is his biggest fights were L's on his record and I think people seriously overrate him as a fighter

I used to be a huge cotto fan but I was really just buying into the hype back then around the time he was beating guys at 140

When a fighter gets to the end of his career he can be very inconsistent. Good nights and bad nights. Shane Mosley is the definition of that. He didn't look good against Cotto IMO.

For me Cotto's defining win was against Ricardo Torres. By default. He doesn't really have an Earth shattering win. Very good career. But no signature victory.

Actually I would say his signature fight (not win) was the loss against Mayweather. He showed how truly skilled and intelligent he is as a fighter. That match says everything you need to know about Miguel Cotto.

I would put the paulie win above the wins over clottey and quintana, and that isn't hindsight either

Id say at least 50% of fans felt that he lost to clottey and a lot of people feel he lost to Mosley too

His revenge over Margarito said more. Mayweather was a great performance from him.

The majority score those fights for Cotto.
