yeah, that's why i thought about going there early. did they fill up the entire theater? so floyd didn't sign anything? that's what i was hoping to get, a glove signed by him or canelo. it sounds like it was a cool event to have been at. kind of regret skipping out on it now, haha.
damn, 3? i remember looking at the time and seeing that it was 1:15 pm, and i said to myself "there's already plenty of people to fill the theater up that are waiting outside of it right now". did a lot of people get left outside? i should've gone, it is what it is. hopefully gbp comes back here to have a card (i was practically ringside for their gomez/granados card) or another presser, assuming mayweather or canelo want to have another press tour like this one for one of their future fights.
honestly alotta people who got there early were pissed cause some of them weren't the first to get in. Cpd did a horrible job at controlling the lines they bascially just let people push there way in. But it's whatever and yeah it seemed like everybody got in I heard the theater holds 4 thousand but not sure
Chicago has a big Mexican population. Huge in fact. I think the boxing promoters forget that
yeah, we got a good population of puerto ricans too. everytime 8 count and round 3 put on cards, their mexican and mex/am fighters get a good reception. (especially when they hear mexican music being used as an entrance song)

Real talk. We never get any combat sports events down here, besides local shows.
8 count and warriors boxing had 2 espn fnf cards earlier this year. last year we had fonfara/johnson. this august we have fonfara/campillo and mollo/szpilka 2 at u.s cellular field. who's going? Mayweather41-0, sweetpea87, and i are def going to that card.

I meant major events. It's always New York/Vegas/Cali/Texas.
I'm glad the turnout was good. I was at Navy Pier (I know right?) with my girlfriend and kid. She knew I wanted to go and said several times that we should. At this time it's like 5pm and I played the good guy and said it was no big deal.
I live literally two blocks away and never would have thought the reception would be that big. I walked past during the UFC weigh-ins and they had a little crowd. Nothing like the pictures I'm seeing from today. I love it.
Mexicans seem to follow wherever the blacks are at.. LOL
Chicago was considered a majority Black city didn't expect Mayweather to get boo'd there.
Sorry, you are not going to get a huge African American turnout for any Boxing event unless FMJ fights here. Chicago is still a majority African American city by population, but they are not going to turnout in droves for a press tour stop. We will buy the fight and talk ****e after FMJ wins, but I only went because this was a off day and I love Boxing.
