where was floyd at 22? did he have a huge fan base or even a country backing him? better yet how many millions was floyd making at 22? did floyd ever have 40k+ people show up to see one of his fights even f it was free. lets not kid ourselfs man canelo role in this fight is big, and imho i belive is the reason why tickets sold fast.

At 22 Floyd had already become a world champ and a top 5 p4p fighter and already won his first fighter of the year only being in the sport for less than a year and a half. Let them charge the prices for the Trout fight that they are charging for this one and lets see if 40k people show up the cheapest ticket for this is fight is still more expensive than the highest ticket for that one.

As for Canelo being the new cash cow, lets see how he sells against a no namer before we can throw that title around. Canelo is huge in Mexico and pretty well known here in the U.S but I wouldnt go as far as to say that he's a worldwide boxing star such as Floyd and Pacquiao.

You might as well be you fit into that crowd haha, as far Canelo his popularity will rival Chavez sr,dhl and may if he wins of course. Pretty confident Canelo ppv will crush mayweather top ppv real easy after this fight if he wins.

edit: The fight will sell well because it's viewed as competitive and involves the biggest named boxer on the planet, to say Canelo is the reason is a pathetic attempt by Mayweather haters to have a dig at Mayweather.
