Hey Star Power, does it really matter how much Canelo's live gate do in his last fight? They tried to make the fight accessible to the average fan. If I didn't live so far from Texas, I definitely would have gone to see Trout-Alvarez. Canelo is younger than Broner and has selling out his venue's regardless of the fight's site. Lastly, Canelo has nearly an entire nation's fanbase.

I dont want to sound like im hating on Canelo but everybody's calling him the new cash cow. Hes a huge star no question but we both know this is just another way to discredit Floyd. I try to stay away from posting in Floyd threads because on this site your either a Floyd hater or a Flo-Mo. Theres no in between but I couldnt resist. This is Canelo's first PPV and look how fast it sold out, and yes he is the reason, it took weeks for the Floyd/Guerrero fight to sell out, there were still tickets available 4 DAYS before the fight happened. How many PPV's has Canelo headlined?? How much where Floyd's tickets vs Guerrero who does not have nearly the following of Canelo yet the MGM was still packed for May vs Guerrero was it not? And if numbers DON'T LIE! Who was the highest paid athlete two years in a row?? Was it Floyd or was it Canelo??

he is a cash cow but that doesn't mean everyone is. I know for sure Canelo is a star but cash cow, nope. I could careless what a boxer regardless of how much I may like them or dislike them. I don't get a single dollar of their earnings. I haven't had to pay for a single PPV event that I see for years so I am not worried about PPV numbers.

Broner-Rees did 1.3m on HBO in February, which is what...600-700k on Showtime? that jumps to 1.3m in June and it's all Broner? I don't think so bro.
