It was obvious the media built Manny Pacquiao. I'm not even sure if it it was genuine love for Pacquiao or simply because they didn't like Mayweather. It's funny how quickly the media jumped off the bandwagon once he was KO'd. It was only then they started saying good things about Mayweather again. I have a lot of respect for Pacquiao but it was obvious to me his skills weren't on the same level as Mayweather. Pacquiao will always be a great warrior but he will never be on the same skill level as Mayweather.

Floyd could have beat Pacquiao at any weight at any point in their careers. As Pacquaio loves to quip "ini taym, ini dey." But sadly, 50 years from now, people will only remember how PBF never wanted to fight the little Filipino guy.
It would have been an easy fight, Floyd, especially after you dismantled one of the best boxers/fighters ever in JMM. Now people will only remember how you ducked Manny Pacquiao, who went on to be the first to win 4 lineals and titles in 8 weight divisions.
Pacquiao's legacy will always be a tad more relevant than Floyd's. Especially with the media, who will even be kinder to Manny as time goes by. Floyd could have taken care of that. Easy.Last edited by koboy; 06-26-2013, 08:55 PM.

Floyd is right, Manny is not on his level. But Manny was never expected to achieve what he achieved, thus, is considered one of the most accomplished overachievers in boxing ever.
Floyd was supposed to be great, legendary, even an atg, but now there's a question mark because he didn't want to fight Manny. By avoiding Pacquiao, Floyd will never exceed people's expectations of him.
He could have solved this problem, easily. But he chose not to.
