If Macklin comes covering up like he did vs Martinez he will eventually get stopped. Cause GGG's heavy hands will eventually get thru the guard and he can hit the body too.

If Macklin comes with some come forward bs he will get stopped too.

He's gonna have to box early on and weather the storm since GGG's stamina doesn't seem too reliable. Then take it to him late rounds. Idk man, I wanna give Macklin a shot but something tells me he will get brutalized.

Golovkin was sick that night, but wouldn't postpone the fight. He still became the first to stop the durable Ouma in 12 years.

You can back Macklin at better than +700. It's a mismatch.

The only way i see him winning is by cutting up Golovkins face. He doesnt have the best skin and seems to cut and bruise easily

I always wonder with a guy like GGG if there is a plan B

It wasn't long back Macklin pasted Felix Sturm & gave Sergio who was still near his peak a very tough fight.

            Anybody give Macklin a shot?

I ain't broke them down but I've got a good idea what GGG is about.
I guess I shouldn't be but I am surprised to see so many being rather dismissive of Macklin. I hope you understand Matthew Macklin is not a guy will get hit & get on his bike in full survival mode.

Everybody that has fought GGG has been there for a payday, they have, I'm not being harsh on him just telling it how it is, they have fought almost terrified. What will happen when this guy hits Macklin who will hit him back with something a bit more meaningful than a jab as if to say please stop?
What happens if he pushes GGG back?
I think he has a great shot at winning. And hits hard enough to make GGG a little hesitant at times. I also think he's the better boxer. Question will be how he handles GGG's power.

I think Mack's only chance is getting into the late rounds.

I don't see why not, I mean Macklin is a decent fighter who IMO clearly beat Sturm and then gave a good fight against Sergio.

This is going to be the first real test for GGG. So far his best opponent is Proksa, who by the way took the fight on short notice, so I think that Macklin has a shot.

i believe that golovkin catches him early and ko's him , macklin won't be cautious in this fight.

He probably won't win but I'll be rooting for him. This guy was robbed against Sturm and gave Sergio a handful. My only worry is that Macklin hasn't had much time in the ring after the Sergio fight. He went 1 round against Alcine and that was last September.
