The scoring in that fight was crap. One judge had Paulie winning, while another had him losing by 117-111. I'll agree that the fight was difficult to score, but the disparities were a bit much.

i have no beef with an SD in either direction, it was that close, IMO... paulie is 100% in his assertion that you have to TAKE the title away. broner simply didnt do that... broner is DEFINITELY capable of doing more. so the question in my head is whether broner CHOSE to lay off or did paulie MAKE him lay off.

going into the fight, i was rooting for & expecting another broner showcase... i KNEW paulie was a solid test for him, but i DID NOT expect paulie to put up such a good fight...

Was that post meant to make sense?

It's not ironic, before this fight a big deal was made of Broner's 22 Knockouts and his punching power. Many guys said that Broner would be the first guy to KO Malignaggi..

I've never heard anybody say in Paulies career that he had power, did you?

No he shouldn't. Paulie clearly lost and Castillo was THEE champion at 135 and Paulie was just a belt holder. Broner has bigger fish to fry. Paulie stick to calling fights for Showtime. I wouldn't mind a Judah or Mosley fight for Paulie though.

I scored this fight 115-113.. Closer than I scored Mayweather vs Castillo I... How can you say he lost clearly when Broner landed about 3-4 shots a round and threw practically no Jabs? He didn't even cut off the ring he just followed Paulie around it!

Do you think Juanma would have got the decision over Mikey last week if he done a similar thing?

Or what about Guerrero getting a decision over Floyd landing a couple of power shots a round??

Unless Paulie hooks up with Javier Capetillo in his corner, I don't want to see a rematch.

Although I'd be slightly interested in how a 2nd fight turns out, I wouldn't want to watch it.

Fight was close but Broner but won fair and square. Now I want him to fight someone who actually has power

I think Broner beat Paulie more clearly than Floyd beat Castillo in the first fight.

Literally after the first 4 rounds, where I had it 3-1 Paulie, Broner landed big punches every single round aside from the last round, which I also gave Paulie.

Broner needs to fight Maidana if he stays at 147.
