Stopping Paulie in your first WW fight is a tough task. This is especially true if you're a fighter that doesn't do well against movement. A lot of people expected Broner to stop Paulie based off his last fight with Cano but Paulie brought his A game on Saturday.

PPL shouldn't have xpected the KO at all. Paulie is too tugh and frankly, Broner's countering skills and workrate aren't recipes for a KO.

I won money on the over.

It makes me wonder if Floyd would stop Malignaggi. I'm not certain he would.

It's not that Broner didn't try to knock Paulie out. He just couldn't.

The chances multiply exponentially, he then could elbow, forearm and hit Paulie while he's talking to the ref.

Young Floyd was light years ahead of where Broner is at.

Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, and Floyd wasn't taking a lot of hits... Broner got tagged by Malignaggi all night... if Paulie had any power, Broner would've hit the canvas.

Boxing’s pound-for-pound king was a little surprised, however, that Broner didn’t stop Paulie Malignaggi in their 12-round fight for Malignaggi’s WBA welterweight title. Mayweather, who watched the fight from a ringside seat, also thinks Broner was too “flat-footed” on his way to a split-decision victory at Barclays Center that made the brash, unbeaten Broner a three-division world champion. Coming from a guy who never goes for the knockout and rarely ever gets it is saying Broner should have kayo'ed Paulie.

Just an observation, that aside paulie really exposed broner.
