Even if it seems obvious to most that Floyd would win (vs Margarito), he usu. doesn't take the fights vs. the fighters that are being talked about the most - although I didn't think he'd fight Canelo, so maybe that is changing
Back to the Pacquiao ting...Really? If you've been following boxing for the past 3-4 years you'd remember that Mayweather offered Pac a guaranteed 40 million dollars. 40 million! Pac hasn't earned that in his last 3 combined. At least be honest with yourself no matter how much you hate Mayweather.
Also, is there more of a threat than Canelo between 140 and 154 right now?

Whats wrong with JMM at #1? He beat the #1 and # 2 and put him to sleep at the age of 40 something pbf has avoided im not saying he would loose but he avoided that fight. Pretty much opponents pbf has the skill but guererro at 147? and cotto past it come ln man. he performed well but simply no threath maybe after Canelo it will change but then again 152 pounds. simply opponents now guererro and cotto are ok but nothing where you can say wow he really has a chance. Canelo is a threath but again lke at said 152 maybe not that much so in a long time pbf is facing a more lively opponent.

PBF is the best current fighter but if he is facing ok opponents no real threath ones. He don't get a pass from me there.

Also, Floyd did that to x Arum out of the equation. People need to accept the fact that Floyd and Arum won't do business.

Exactly right^^^ Word is Arum takes 60-68% of Manny's purses. Floyd will never give Arum that kind of payday. Sucks, cus I'd give anything to hear the excuses Sunday morning from the Pacquiao faithful.

Good post. Nothing with JMM at #1, he's taking on top competition and has been pretty active for 40 (or any age really). I'd actually have him and Ward up the top 2 although Ward needs to get fighting again soon.

You've got to beat the best to be the best but you've also got to keep beating the best on a regular basis to stay the best on a PFP list - that means activity and top opposition.

He lost to Castillo and Hernandez wasn't even that good, neither was gatti or baldomir, or manfreddy. "

Ibam one of those that belive castillo 1 belonged to him but pbf wiped out ghatii, hernandez baldomir pretty much one sided fight. People are comparing both broner and pbf jose luis castillo from the 1 and 2 fight woukd of ko broner all those body shots

Floyd's grossed more money than Oscar in his boxing career. Not to mention his 200+ million dollar contract with Showtime, along with PPV shares. Just in a 3-year stint Mayweather could collect 300 million dollars...

He has the share for highest ppv event in history with DLH. The 3 highest guaranteed purses in boxing history (32M, 40M & 40M).

Secondly, JMM cannot be ranked ahead of Mayweather for 2 reasons:

                      1) Mayweather COMPLETELY dominated him in their bout.
                      2) JMM said himself he wants nothing to do with another fight with Mayweather. "We all saw what happened the first time."

I have no problem with JMM being ranked 2 or 3 (Him and Ward, with Ward looking completely unbeatable in his division). But to rank him above Floyd is pretty outlandish to be honest.
