I heard Canelo wanted it at 147, but Floyd said no 154. So they just settled at 152.

Lot of tears from you over this catchweight. You should embrace it like the rest of your fellow dribbling floydiots!out of the whole post all you got was race card. cool. give floyd all the **** you want for being a hypocrite.
read the 1st sentence. does it sound like I'm ok with the cw?
no. what you're saying now is a complete 180 from what you said then. are you ok with 152 since you were ok with 145? was cotto drained? lets see if you are adult enough to answer honestly.
either say the same that you did back then or shut the **** up.

Huh? check my posts. I said floyd did this for an advantage. you're the one who said he fought ODH at 154 like he had a choice. very disingenuous
floyd had the same choice as canelo-take whats offered or don't get the payday. floyd won. maybe canelo will too.Comment

But when Pacquaio does it, he's the catchweight king and satan

spin it how you want it. just post the same things if/when floyd wins as you did after the manny cotto fight. if not-you're the same as the posters and fighters you spend all day and night *****ing about.Comment

look at this mother****er defending floyd when at this exact time 4 years ago, he would have been saying the exact opposite against pacquiaoCanelo also didn't want what he originally called Floyd out on 150 , so Floyd met him in the middle and he agreed , not to bad deal seeing Floyd came up 5lbs and will give close to 20 away on the night , Canelo would jump at it which he did , now we got a superfight , its what you all wanted and good for boxing , it will do huge numbers .
LMFAO this **** is so hilariousComment

They never said their unofficial weight. There was no catch weight or maximum weight specified in the contract for actual fight day so they may not have weighed again at all. I agree though, Cotto did look bigger than he did at the weigh in. But 168 looks like an exaggeration...According to Floyd, he came in at 168. Close enough. Also according to Floyd, weight doesn't win fights - skills do.
Floyd has punked himself badly here. I don't know why people try to defend it. I think he beats Canelo comfortably no matter what the weight is. Team Mayweather obviously aren't as confident.
Just for fun, I would like to see Canelo winning this fight -- but he can achieve this only by KO... Which he would be able to score, though.Last edited by MDPopescu; 06-25-2013, 08:33 AM.Comment

floyd has a cw for this fight. he had a rematch clause with ghost. I dont think he needs either, but he and his team obviously are worried floyd could "become 36" at any moment. so they are trying to protect him in case he does. thats just smart business but it makes floyd look cowardly, especially to the thuggery/hugh grant/junior gong/hectari level posters.I said above:
When FM Jr. fought De La Hoya, Floyd was 30 years old and Oscar was 34 (and going down from the middleweight division). Oscar was old and drained -- they did it for the business.
Cotto was not a middleweight, and FM Jr. came at 151 in that fight...
Well: I'll not argue again on the catch weight issue here... I'm no Mayweather's fan and/or defender, so if one cannot talk strictly business (which is the case here) I'll post no more...
(And please remember that in Nov 2011, Canelo called Floyd at 150...)
floyd's team is using his leverage the way other non hwt "cash cows" did. the only difference is they didn't pop **** about not draining fighters etc etc. so he has to deal with the backlash.Comment

I don't remember saying whether or not he had a choice. I said he was willing to fight ODH at 154 because he was old, slow and past prime.
I'm quite aware who's holding the cards. It doesn't excuse anything.Comment
