No need to include that bro. Those who dislike Floyd don't do so because he is black.Fight should be at 154. That said canelo doesn't have to take fight. But he wants the payday so he took it. You coukd always do whst cotto did with manny and turn the cw down.
On a side note- notice how the manny lovers/e racists/floyd haters/ and nsb la raza now all consider 2 lbs as "draining". How come these posters didn't say same with manny cotto or odh bhop?
These posters are no different than floyd guess they are just mad that they can't capitalize on their hypocricy like floyd has.
I have no issue with the catch-weight, but it's clear it's going to overshadow the fight and I'm tired hearing about it. Floyd should've just agreed to 154 and saved us all this nonsense.Comment

The catch weight clause was the only way Floyd thought he could limit an over 20 lbs handicap into the fight...No need to include that bro. Those who dislike Floyd don't do so because he is black.

When FM Jr. fought De La Hoya, Floyd was 30 years old and Oscar was 34 (and going down from the middleweight division). It's highly unlikely that Floyd has an easy fight with a talented middleweight who's 22 of age...Last edited by MDPopescu; 06-25-2013, 07:20 AM.Comment

why is rhydration suddenly a problem for floyd? this has been standard operating procedure in boxing for quite some time now.Comment

There is a group of those on nsb and its not the 1st time I mentioned them. I wasn't referring to you.No need to include that bro. Those who dislike Floyd don't do so because he is black.

If you honestly think the weight overshadows the fight then thats sad. The weight is only an issue because it gives those in the groups I mentioned a legitimate criticism. Floyd did that to himself.
dont get mad at me for pointing the finger at if you had no problem with the 2lbs andif you didn't call it "draining" then and do so now.Comment

Even though Mayweather fought Miguel Cotto at the 154-pound super welterweight limit in May 2012, he was just 151 pounds at the weigh-in.
FM Jr.'s main division is 147. He stays there -- you can't ask him to fight the likes of GGG at 154...Comment

Why can he fight Oscar and Cotto there but no one else?
I'll answer - they were old, broken down fighters who were past their prime.Comment

In the ODH fight he wanted the payday, odh was the bigger draw so he abided by ODH terms. at least be honest about it. Thats what Canelo is doing here.
In the cotto fight, he figured he didn't need the advantage.Comment

Yes. Alvarez is such a paragon of everything right and true that he screwed the mighty Matthew Hatton on the scales by coming at 153lbs for a 151lbs catchweight. I don't see people on a witch hunt for him on that. A lot of "fans" don't even know it.
Mayweather's a hypocrite alright, but so are half the people on here that don't dish the same level of criticisms on others for the same thing or don't even care to know who else what. Do we think CATCHWEIGHT when we think of Whitaker/Chavez (because it was one, for a title) or do we think of a great fight?
Like I keep saying. Some people love the sport of boxing some people like what they like and some are just plain negative and there's no cure for that.Comment

Looks like alvared is already preparing his excuse for when he gets taken to school. This guy is younger, bigger, stronger, got power, and only coming down 2lbs. Mayweather is older, smaller, and coming up 5lbs of his fight weight.and money actually is a natural 140 pounder.quit crying alvared.Comment
