You do realize that people appreciate the sport in general right?

It's not always about bandwagoning who ever has the most "Swaggggg" in the sport, or jumping on the teams bandwagon just because "they're winning"

You have to watch everything especially if you're looking forward to potential match ups and if you're just interested in seeing the progression of certain fighters.

This goes for any sport, not just boxing. Eventually you're going to get into a discussion and you're going to have to know what the **** you're talking about.

I'm all for boxers being defensively sound. God knows I hate seeing Juanma's defenceless ass getting knocked the ring.

But no-one else has an issue in the highest paid star in the sport just outright telling us that he doesn't want to engage?

This really isn't that deep of an issue, if you don't like Mayweather's style then don't buy his fights. But don't waste your time sitting on the sideline hating on how another man chooses to guide his career, you should have better things do then follow someone you dislike so much.

Some of you on here are delusional, how many people show up to the boxing gym dreaming of becoming a face first brawler! I'm a fan of skillful/defensive minded fighters because I've boxed before and realize how hard it is to avoid taking shots.

If he didn't engage, he couldn't win...

He's averaging 20 landed punches per round... If he's in range to land that many shots, the responsibility falls on the opponent to land his shots in return.

If you have an issue with him saying that the plan is to go out there to avoid punishment... Would you rather he lie about it? Not mention it? Every defensive action and reaction a boxer has is to avoid or minimize punishment; so it's a given for every fighter (even Rios puts his gloves up to block)... Mayweather just isnt a measured enough speaker to play that close.
