you aint gonna see Floyd give an Erik Morales 12th round vs PAC 'let's see what you got' moment, that's for damn sure
... and you wont see Floyd being totally shot at 28 years old because he got in too much wars to please 10 years old internet warriors.

I have no problem with the TS saying he loves fighter taking punishment and fights like ******s, there is a sport for people like you thats called mma. If you don't like a defensive genius why are you watching him fight ? Why are you making a hate thread about it every single day ?

Live and let live, some people like blood and punishment, other people enjoy a defensive master dominating his opponents. A world with only Gatti types fighter would be boring as hell, and a world with only Floyd type fighter would be boring as hell too. Personnaly Im not a fan of a fighter like Gatti who takes 10 punches to land one, but I respect him and his fans and I would not make a thread to d1ss him. So the TS should just let Floyd's fans enjoy his fight and watch something else on tv when Floyd is fighting.

He has stood his ground and fought in the pocket in the past, but he shouldn't do it against Canelo. Why should he play into Canelo's hands?

        Giit the **** outta here

Are you seriously saying he's been fighting fast handed and equally strong opponents? Face it, you're a casual. Not even a real fight fan. Seriously need to log off and stay logged off.

No one with a ounce of respect for competition and sport wants to see exploits being used to gain victory.

Only you pathetic weak ass lames, who are scared of challenges and find convenience in jumping on bandwagon to bandwagon are into lame **** like that.

Your gonna see a lot of crying when Mayweather decides to use the ring against a much bigger Canelo.

What Floyd is saying is that its not cool to take "unnecessary punishment". Meaning purposely taking damage to make a fight look a certain way. Or better yet putting yourself at risk to KO an opponent just to please the crowd. You want to know a REALLY GOOD example of this? Bradly's last fight. Hes taking all of that damage unnecessary just to prove something to the "fans". What did it give him in return?

Likewise, I wouldn't say he stunk it out against Guerrero, though I do wish he would have stepped up the offense because he could have scored a stoppage.
Cotto gave him no choice, Jose Luis Castillo gave him no choice, for 5 rounds Zab Judah gave Mayweather absolutely no choice. Fights like that are the reason why "Floyd spends more time cherry picking for buisness." He avoids the strong fighters. Strong fighters meaning, strong willed, strong skill, strong quickness, etc etc. The fact a mega fight like Paq vs May never happened at the peak of Paq's career is just amazing. That has never happened in the sport where a mega-fight was completely avoided. Even Leonard came out of retirement to fight a prime Hagler.

Also Mayweather didn't even fight Cotto when Miguel was the king of the Welterweights. It took 2 massive skin peeling beat downs for Mayweather to finally get in the ring with an irrelevant version of Cotto. To Cotto's credit though, he dug down and gave his last best performance we'll see from him again.

I was saying 5-6 years ago, when Miguel was the ****ing man, that he could very well possibly beat Mayweather.

Styles make fights and back when Cotto was a beast, he had a style that would give problems to Floyd. Go figure 6 years later a shell of Miguels former self actually put up a decent scrap against Floyd.

That fight should have taken place 6 years ago.

We're talking boxing here not whether you can enjoy a fight or not. We're talking about the sport.

There are men going on that stage and getting cheated at every corner, not getting their fair shot. That ****s disgusting regardless.

I'm all for boxers being defensively sound. God knows I hate seeing Juanma's defenceless ass getting knocked the ring.

But no-one else has an issue in the highest paid star in the sport just outright telling us that he doesn't want to engage?

This is boxing, for ****s sake.

Don't give me that sweet science stuff. Can you imagine Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, Frazier, Leonard, Duran telling us that they refuse to take punishment.

The Cotto fight really spooked Team Mayweather. I was looking forward to the Canelo fight immensely but it's going to be a pot-shot fest.

Say what you want about Broner but at least the kid wants to fight.

If everyone was as defensive minded as Floyd Mayweather, the sport really would be dead.
He only did that with Cotto cause he knew Cotto is washed up. Why do you think he ducked him and others when they were prime by retiring?
