Why would they mention Lucas Matthyse? He has to fight Danny Garcia no two ways about it. I don't even want to entertain Garcia fighting anyone other than Lucas at the moment. And yes no way would any boxer fight who the fans choose for him to fight, his promoters and advisers job is to do exactly that. Broner was talking out of his mind as usual.

Merchant IS Spot ON! This Is No Race Issue; Broner Is Just Working Boxing Fans

Broner isn't dominate. He's not going to fight the best, nor will they allow the fans to align him against the best. This is why Broner says "lets go get another belt". It's NOT about fighting and beating the best, it's to find weak links that somehow got their hands on a belt, and pose little threat. Guys like Tim Bradley, Paulie Mags. Those guys aren't champions that beat anyone credible in the ring. They both hit like girls. Broner isn't going to fight the Matthysee's or the Maidana's, or the Danny Garcia's, not to mention he'd never get in the ring with a Manny Pacquaio, and has already said he won't fight Mayweather. This guy is a weasel. His team already recognizes he has nothing at 147. They are mentioned tomatoe cans like Amir Khan, Victor Ortiz.... seriously????? Why? All Broner is seeking to do is create an interest, something edgy, controversial in himself, create a "brand" name, like Mayweather did... start talking of himself in the 3rd person.
