They'll go w/ Maidana, which is a cherry pick (no offense to Maidana fans). They know that Broner can't hang with elite guys yet so they'll go with fading guys and fan faves that pose no actual threat.

Broner is young and ****y enough to actually fight who the fans pick. Outside the ring, he is very hard to like. But in the ring, this kid is a beast. Maidana couldn't beat Alexander and he won't beat Broner. Mathysse is a tough fight for anyone at 140 and 147, but Broner has that elite type of confidence and skill to beat him. If he were to beat Lucas, it would not be an upset in my opinion. This kid without a doubt is the next big thing. He is great for the sport. Many will hate him, but that will only make him a very rich man. I think he has begun a new legacy in boxing. As long as he stays in the gym, 15 years from now we will be comparing him to the greats.

Why would they mention Lucas Matthyse? He has to fight Danny Garcia no two ways about it. I don't even want to entertain Garcia fighting anyone other than Lucas at the moment. And yes no way would any boxer fight who the fans choose for him to fight, his promoters and advisers job is to do exactly that. Broner was talking out of his mind as usual.

No, it's the managers job to get you fights that are good for you, it's the promoters job to get the biggest fights possible and market the hell out of it. The problem with boxing is that it's so corrupt because the two are one in the same.

Merchant knows what's up but there is pressure for Broner to fight one of the "names" at 1#either 140 or 147 and I'm not sure who he can duck. The divisions are teeming with talent, he'd have to look outside the top 10 of each division to fight someone ****. I'm sure Broner fights one of the opponents we all want him to fight, probably Maidana, considering Schaefer said he wants the fight.
