I don't want to see him against flat-footed, plodding messes who would lose to any reasonable fighter with good movement. I want to see him against a guy not made for him to look brilliant against. How about Lara or Lucas? Instead of plodding messes and guys at catchweights?

That is why Lucas gets held in such high regard. He gives fans what they want and fights anybody, anytime, anywhere, no excuses and is never in a bad fight pot-shotting some bum ass blown up plodder.

Matthyse's resume can't compare to Floyds 2004 resume much less now. I'd be willing to bet Matthyse cant beat Robert the ghost Guerrero.

Lucas power is otherwordly, have subtle boxing skill and patience. I doubt he beats Mayweather now.. Also he will have to gain weight to fight Mayweather.

If Mayweather comes down to 140, I can see a more intriguing match up between the two.

I like Matthysse so I'm sure not going to cut into him, but I haven't seen him deal anything Like Mayweather to say he's a sure bet. The guy has shown good power and ability to cut off the ring against many opponents. I just haven't seen yet what he has that Mayweather hasn't seen before. Mayweather's fought hard hitters before and dealt with them in various ways (either using movement or walking them down, like he did Mosley).

Like others, if I see Matthysse move up and demonstrate the same power and even more improved skill, I'll serious entertain his chances of success. Right now, It's hard to see past him getting outfoxed and outboxed. A punchers chance is the best he has based on what I've seen of him.

Yeah Floyd have such a hard time with pressure as we have all learned. If you feel Lucas will win that's fine we all have different opinions but brutal KO GTFOH with that dumb BS Lucas doesn't have enough skills to KO Floyd.
