I make Mayweather strong favourite because Matthysse has never fought at 147. However, if Matthysse is even more powerful at 147 it could be a great fight.

Years ago now bro. Matthysse is a much more aggressive fighter these days because as a foreign fighter he can't rely on getting a decision.
Sorry but I just don't get your posts sometimes, no offense I just don't get them. Every fighter will get hit in a boxing match, you can't avoid every shot but the shots RG got through with were not significant, only a couple of solid shots that were straight punches landed. RG is nearly 2 inches taller (than LM) with an inch more reach and is southpaw so able to land the straight left easier than an orthodox fighter can land the straight right due to the target being closer when exchanges take place.
Then you say you only pick Floyd as favorite because LM hasn't fought at 147... it just annoys me that you hold things like that and venue above matching the styles. You may have a point if the fighter was already at his limit with his weight but LM steps into the ring at 150+ pounds. Weighing in at 147 would make no difference except he wouldn't have to dehydrate as much and again you may have a point if he went up to 147 and fought someone who weighed in fight night 160+ like Ortiz but he would be fighting Floyd in this instance who would weigh about the same as Lucas therefore nullifying any disadvantage that may have been. There is no other reason to say Floyd is favorite other than he is better, it would have nothing to do with weight, venue or what side of the bed they got out of, it comes down to ability in this match up and nothing more.

I accidentally hit Matthysse by decision lol, but meant to press Mayweather by decision. Matthysse is there to be caught, I think Floyd picks him off to a decision.

Lucas has a chance because of that power, but fights aren't won just because of power. Lucas would be too slow and Mayweather would win 9-10 rounds at least.

There aren't many fights where I would root harder for someone than I would for Matthysse against Mayweather though.

From start to finish would be like the last 3 rounds of dirrels abraham, with lucas being abraham, but ending with floyd quiting in his corner after suffering from a broken left shoulder

ho hum another day another this guy beats floyd thread.

why is it that the same people who start these threads and 90% of the people who reply floyd will lose; post in another thread that floyd will duck lucas; then those same people will say its a cherrypick and floyd only signed to fight Lucas because he thinks he can beat him, then when floyd wins lucas will not be at his best weight or some other excuse.

can we save ourselves 6 months of this BS? come on guys can't you guys find another way to hate.

Not even close. Amir has a better chance than Matthysse. Slow, flat footed fighters are tailor made for Floyd to make look ******.

That would be the same Khan that got beaten by Peterson correct? Matthysse isnt flat footed nor is he slow, he's style is more about cutting the ring, stopping the opponent from going left or right with hooks to the head and body shots. Sure he's not dancing around because he's more about stalking and winning with his power, which he just cant be beaten at today by anyone in the 140/147.
If KO artists are precisely the kind of boxers Floys avoids because those always have the punchers chance to KO him.
Bhop said that to beat Mtthysse you have to avoid him for 6 rounds, and outboxing him during the 12. I'm not saying Floys cant do it, if anyone can do it that would be Floyd, but he has to fight the perfect fight which he can do, but as soon as Matthysse gets a couple 1/2good shots on him Floys ***ed, and he has been hit on recent fights.

Don't waste your time trying to explain Matthysse's game to folks that STILL don't get it.

If they don't know by now, they'll never understand. They're the same people that watch a Matthysse fight to point out all his flaws instead of watching the fight with a clear head and being impressed with the guy.

I agree about the flat footed thing, but I feel like Lucas' ability to cut off the ring isvery good. A few years ago, I would've said Amir has a good chance against Floyd, but with the way Khan has regressed, I think that's easy work for Floyd.

As I said before, I'd favor Floyd by decision 8-4 or 9-3 but I do give Lucas the best chance at winning of the 140-7 lb fighters.
