$10 million fine for every pound over the limit are pretty bad
One affects you on fight night such as trying to stay under 10 lbs.

The fine is high, but if May makes weight then it won't affect him.

He's not refusing drug testing. He's saying "you want extra testing, that's fine, but I want you to to stick to ten pounds above the 147 limit".

****ing hell, this place is hilarious sometimes. This type of stuff has become so commonplace for a couple of fighters, but when someone else does it......
Huge Marquez fan here and all. While I agree with most
of what you were saying on your posts.

I agree that there is definitely hypocrisy from plenty of
the posters here. That is UNDENIABLE.

          However....

I would of much rather Marquez just saying "YES! no
problem, I'll take any tests at any damn time
with no questions asked and that is final! I will
beat this chump any day, any where, any time!
Even if Jesus Christ himself flew out of the Heavens
to train him he is not beating me come october!!!
I don't give a hell how much this man weighs or how
damn big he gets for this fight!!!"

          BUT...**** had to become difficult...well...

You don't go challenging the damn champ and ask the guy to weigh 10 pounds below his usual limit, that's just pathetic.

Why even try and defend Marquez, he's in the wrong here, if he's clean and got no problem with testing, then he should taking it REGARDLESS. Weakening Bradley in the process is so fail, Bradley is right, it's ******. Hydration clauses sometimes are even worse than catch-weights, can you imagine saying Canelo can only weigh 162 at fight night when hes weighed 172 vs trout? There'd be outrage at Mayweather 10x more than there is atm for the catchweight... use your brain.

I don't agree with none of that nonsense. Marquez making that request is 100% right. If boxing rules were enacted correctly, Marquez wouldn't even have to mention this in the first place.

Fighters today are making a mockery out of the purpose of weight divisions. If you come into a fight at 160 lbs, then that fighter shouldn't be fighting at Welterweight. Coming into the weigh-in at 147 lbs, and then throwing on a bunch of water weight til you're 165 is nonsense. Complete nonsense. It makes a mockery of the weight class, defeats the purpose, and is basically cheating more or less.

Marquez is not wrong, he is correct. Honestly, Marquez is being generous. If he wanted to really stick to the book, he should require a 3 lb rehydration clause. Where the fighter couldn't come into the ring any higher than 150 lbs. That would be a true Welterweight fight. But nah, instead we have this circus act with weight divisions going on.

How about them? Pac imposed 2 CWs on opponents, exact same as JMM, but no rehydration clause.

Hell, I wouldn't put anything past ol Bob. He's probably trying to get TRADAs home base set up in that huge stadium he was supposively building in Dallas a couple of years a go.

Oh god, grow up. Everyone has to face fighters that hydrate extra pounds in each division. Rigo had to face it in Donaire etc, it's part of boxing, if you can't handle it don't challenge the fcking champion, it's that simple. You want this for Marquez, but every other fighter has had to deal with it and they've done so just fine. Marquez should take the test regardless, and he shouldn't have to weaken Bradley in the process... no wonder you got negative rep.

Contract is signed jmm will take the test and bradly will come in with no weight limit after the weigh in. Ethier way this is rather strange and seems like bob is trying to screw over jmm because he destroyed his cash cow

This appears to be bull shiiiiiiiiiiiiit
