let us not forget that if cotto would have agreed to a catchweight, there would not have been a 4th fight. pacquiao ended up choosing jmm over bradley because he would make more money. pacquiao has never given marquez a damn thing. the only reason there was even a 3rd fight was because pacquiao wanted a true win over him and thought it would be easy.

EVERYBODY said the 4th fight was it. then manny get's knocked out and now marquez owes him another fight? please. personally i'm all for it but i understand marquez's position here. but i do think they will fight again.

this 5th will happen cuz Arum will find a way to make pac the mando for the WBO title if Marquez wins.

Pac-man is currently #2 in the ratings. Keith Thurman is #1 but is fighting for the WBA interim WW title on 7/27 vs Diego Chavez.

So if Marquez wins and Pac-man wins expect the WBO to order this fight next.

Honestly bro I can understand Marquez point and everything, but it's just so damn intriguing, Manny looked great this fight and was going well vs Marquez (the best he ever has) where as Marquez besides the knockdown wasn't as clear a boxer as before, but he managed to end the show in a great fashion. It's because Manny looked so great and Marquez originally didn't that makes you say' you know what? If Marquez didn't land that shot, or if Pacquaio learned to avoid it all the time for the next fight, who would win?' that's how closely matched these guys are, and thats why we want another fight... because the fight was still very competitive up until the KO, and without the KO who knows what may have happened.

Ultimately I saw 4 closely contested and 3 really entertaining fights between two ATGs. The manner of the 4th fight suggests that the 5th would be another cracker.

I don't see why people would be so opposed to it. It's not as if there are lots of other challenges out there for either of these guys in the sport, both of them are on the farewell tour.
I'm torn about it. The 4th fight was absolutely amazing and there have been times when I've been dying for a 5th fight, especially when I re-watch 4.

However, I don't think the 4th fight can be topped, or even matched. That was the fight for all the marbles, where they both laid it all on the line to make the definitive statement on their rivalry. We're not going to scale those heights again.

Plus, seeing JMM fight Bradley and, to a lesser extent, Pac against Rios, is pretty refreshing and intriguing.

Still, if they take care of business, I would like another fight. It'd still be an entertaining fight and another huge event which shines a line on the sport. The 4th fight was an epic night for boxing.

Gotta love the Flaggots all up in this thread telling us why there absolutely shouldn't be another fight. The same ****ers who would tell us why a Floyd-Guerrero fight was legit.

I still marvel at the nerve of these losers when they sabotaged the Mexican fans moment to gloat on Pac getting put to sleep - the crowning moment of their monumentally ******ed flame wars with the Paqtards. And still they won't let it go.

To be honest it's not fair. He should give him a rematch. I want to see a 5th fight.

                  I love jmm and manny..

I would have liked manny v jmm 5 this fall, but cant complain with jmm-bradley and manny-rios....

Jmm and manny gotta fight again... Even if its both coming off losses to bradley and rios... They are rivals and always make great fights. and will always bring in $$$$$$$

5 fights seem reasonable for the most epic of rivals

The thing is, while I understand those who say he should give Pac a shot like Pac gave him two re-matches (and I wish he would too), I actually think what he is doing is kinda awesome in a way.

I doubt he is scared of Pacquaio. And even if he was, a $15m paycheck would cover it.

This thing that he is doing now, where he's refusing to milk it anymore - and just wants to savour the sheer glory of it, the perfect ending to a great rivalry - it's something we're not used to seeing at all. A fighter valuing legacy and the principle over cash and the plotting of a promoter.

Who knows, maybe he's playing us, and Bradley is one more paycheck and title before the final cash out before Pacquaio 5. But as it is, I can respect what Juan Manuel is doing. Why tarnish the legacy you've most of your life to create for a paycheck?
