Upset? Rios should be favored big time in this fight.
Anytime someone is coming off a brutal KO you have to favor the fresher younger hungrier fighter. Rios was pissed off when he lost to Alvarado he wanted to fight him again the same night, dude is hungry and motivated and said 147 will make him more energized since he doesn;t have to drain himself to make the weight.
Rios also knows Pac's chin is cracked so he will be super confident come fight night. knowing that Pac can be knocked cold will make him fearlessComment

Rios has faster hands than Margarito, and Margarito landed a lot of punches on Pacman and trapped him on the ropes.
This is not a prime Pacquiao we are talking about here, one jab from Rios pushed Alvarado back and wobbled him. Alvarado comes into the ring at 160 Pacman at 148-150, Alvarado as big as he is was getting bloodied up and rocked by Rios and had to go through hell in the rematch to win.
Pacman might not last the rounds in this fight. One jab could send him to the floor like Nedal Huessin did.Comment

stop reading at "may be".
I believe it depends on your mental strength/weaknesses. some fighters can get koed and they will keep fighting throughout their careers and come back eventually. Chin can get worse only with age and loss of reflexes.Last edited by Ogecca MaMa; 06-24-2013, 10:06 PM.Comment

Pac chin was never actually fractured by Marquez punch physically. We are talking here mentally and may not the case against mentally strong Pacquiao. In fact those ko will just make him a better boxer. I predict Pac will fight Rios intelligently ala Oscar vs Pac and will focus more on his defense.Comment

I don't think Pacquiao will be gun shy after being knocked out and I don't think he'll be massively susceptible to being one-punched, at least not against Rios. It's more how he'll cope with Rio's pressure and pace that I consider to be an open question in this fight. The Pacman of 3 years ago may well have eaten Rios up, but he's noticeably slowed over the last handful of fights and I'm getting a feeling that this one could get highly competitive late.Comment

I think you're mistaking Rios for a shot, drained De La Hoya and Pacquiao for the Pacquiao who fought De La Hoya.
I think this'll be a high contact fight both ways. Maybe not early for Rios, but if he's still there after 7 he's going to have some success.Comment
