Saying Froch and Mosley/Judah are good comparisons just tells me how out of touch you are.
He did that when he fought Mack. Why? Because he had a belt and could afford to take a tune up because he was in a better position. After he got dismantled by Ward he was in a very bad position, why's that so hard to understand?

    I never mentioned Mosley.

How many beltless 34 yr olds coming off as loss would turn down a title shot against the #2 guy in their weightclass? Most fighters in that position would give their right arm for the opportunity.

3: Give up. You are fighting a losing battle.
Whoever Stieglitz's promoter is, it's clear they're not letting him fight threats unless it's somebody who's a big star in Germany, like Abraham. Don't tell me they would have let him fight Froch.

Froch's promoter said the money Warren offered for the Cleverly fight wasn't satisfying, they have no interest in fighting Cleverly and they made it clear

Again, the thread title alone kills whatever point you're trying to make.

The pre-Oscar owned Ring magazine you speak of at times had Oscar, Tito, Mosley, and Hopkins at times rated ahead of Roy Jones in their P4P ratings during RJ's decade long run as P4P King. Their ratings are the best option we have available even today. But, they're still just a couple guys sitting around like we're doing saying what they think. Only difference is they put it in a magazine and sell it. If you lay out resumes and go on the eye test, Calzage was better than Ottke, as you've already stated. So regardless of a rating in a magazine, he will go down in history as the class of the super middleweight division in his era, which overlapped Ottke's career.

      • Froch can't act like this even though he has a point because this fight is about avenging a lost. Now trying make a bunch of money.

I have to repeat: Ward is expecting Hearn to deliver $5-7 million in order to travel to the UK. But I suspect Hearn would not pay more than $3-3.5 million...
ward gains nothing from this fight other than a payday. froch gains nothing but a loss. Fight kessler again or see if you can get cal****ty to come out of retirement so you can get big dollars and a better chance to win.

i like the Transitional board rankings. I am good with any rankings made up by a pool of voters. but ring's rankings are corrupt.

If I'm not wrong, Ward's purse for the Dawson fight was about $1.5 million.
But when did Ward get a purse whatsoever, before or after Chad?

Then why did they make a fight with Kessler then? (It fell through because of TV, but that's beside the point).

When they are ready to fight Kessler in Copenhagen then surely they'd be ready to fight Froch right?

All I am saying is that Ottke was higher ranked than Calzaghe when both where active and that Ward is a stay at home fighter just like the Phantom.

I think you're right and see your point. but i still dont see the need or necessity for a froch rematch. rematches should occur when there was a robbery or a close fight. IMO, despite judges scores, the 1st fight wasn't.

I can't call Ring magazine's ratings corrupt because they don't have any jurisdiction to enforce fights.
