I don't think Froch v Kessler III needs to happen until next summer, if at all.
I know they tried, but Ward never wanted to leave the US.

Odd that you, and others, say that a third fight doesn't need to happen. Why do you say that?

Either that or a Ward fight in Copenhagen. Almost everybody thinks Kessler is shot, so that would be the perfect tune-up for Ward in September:

1: The best payday of his career by a mile.
2: Instant acknowledgement from boxingfans critisizing him for always fighting at home.
3: A certain win since everybody thinks Kessler is shot.
4: A perfect set-up for a Froch fight (for both Ward and Kessler).
Kessler isn't shot at all. But when you've been a Pro for 15 years and has fought at world level for 10 of those years, then motivation is a factor.

I don't think Frochs win over Kessler was dominating enough for me to say Kessler couldn't win a rematch. He was shook in the first three rounds. Take those away and Kessler wins. On neutral territory, the Viking army would show up in bigger numbers and hopefully that would help him.

It's maybe 60/40 in Frochs favour based on the last fight. But Mikkel would be a fool to turn down £3mil. And I don't think he will.

Ward is a gentleman. Unfortunately, that's what keeps him from earning the big bucks over in the states. God knows they love a talker over there.

Now please stop! Ward did travel! He travelled to England to do the commentary on Froch vs Kessler II, didn't he? (Although I heard he asked for permission to do it from Oakland via telecast ;-))

Ward has said he won't change his ways for more money. He gets paid enough and he wants to keep his values I respect that more. There is room for different characters it's cool to see a guy like him as among the best fighters.

Carl froch has been a good advertisement for British boxing over the years.as for what he does next as a boxing fan I would rather see another Kessler match as more exciting as even late on Kessler nearly had him out on his feet. Kessler if he takes this will do it because he believes he can beat him and had every chance. Froch v ward is just an ugly fight as froch to slow and predictable for the crafty ward that being said I could still not see ward winning by ko. Once through Kessler would be good to finish career with an all British open air show v groves or cleverly.

I'd be keen on a third fight. Kessler was rumoured to be carrying an injury going into the fight and it wasn't as wide a victory as some make out.

It'd be good entertainment and makes financial sense for both fighters.

If not, Ward can rematch Kessler in Denmark, and Froch can face off with Groves, DeGale, Stieglitz or Bute.

What injury? Haven't heard about that?

Has there been any news on it?

                      Sure. I respect it too.

But he's going over to the UK to chase a fighter he's already beaten handily. So I don't buy all the 'he's satisfied' stuff.

                      He wants a big payday.
