I remember vanes saying he wountnt take the rematch cause they wouldn't give the winner a Canelo fight in writing. Nothing about being injured

DAMN! I was looking forward to see Andrade in action. That Sucks!

As for Vanes...Nobody cares! Nobody ever mention this guy when talking about Top Fighters at 154! Keep protection your undefeated record against BUMS Vanes! Andrade would knock him out within 6-8 Rounds or put on a boxing clinic!

That was during the first negotiation for the initial fight, but he went on with it anyway without the reassurance. For the rematch, the WBC dropped Vanes because he requested extra time.

Vanes is an interesting study. IIRC after the draw with Lara he was given an opportunity to have a rematch, but cited he needed an extra week to let his cut heal and when he wasn't given that, he withdrew from the rematch. Then he was supposed to be on the untelevised undercard for Zou Shiming (seriously? a 33-0 154 lb'r is on the undercard of a debut fighter? Embarrassing.) Pulled out of that event because of a thumb injury and wound up on a recent (untelevised) undercard and is now here hoping to get a title shot - this guy's career is all over the place.

yes, now it becomes interesting. hell of a lot better fight than one with baysangurov for andrade. it's now or never for vanes imo, let's see what he's got against this undefeated kid. boo boo is at the cusp of becoming a recognized and known name/player at 154. hopefully this fight happens and neither guy has to withdraw.
