  • This Mikey Garcia hype is really unreal....

the guy is a good fighter but who has he beaten? And now they're tlaking about P4P? wow......

Salido? A washed up JUANMA? You can't be serious. Both these guys have been starched out before, both t hese guys are no skilled plodders who are slow and flat footed. Very easy to look good against these fighters.

This JUANMA KO is even more hilarious. JUANMA looked terrible, it looked like he would fall flat on his face after every punch his balance was so bad. The way he pushed his punches and was constantly out of position was worse than amatuer fighters. In his last fight in Puerto Rico, the tomato can he fought took a dive and was paid off it's plan as day to see. I don't think he even trains for fights anymore.

I hope you're joking OP. Who's hyping him up? The kid is the truth, and he's one of the best technical boxers in the game. Does he have to whoop up Gamboa to prove it to you?

Edit: He was also throwing up before the fight with Juanma, and did a lot of harm to his body trying to make weight. He still whooped his ass. I was scared Juanma was gonna catch him with something, while Mikey was still a little weak legged from the night before.

The one thing worse than the hype that surrounds a fighter after a good win is the endless supply of threads complaining about that hype.

Well Mikey definitely isn't PFP right now but he's young and very talented. I love his patience in the ring. Its just too early to tell how good he will be. I don't see many people calling him a pound for pound fighter though. I saw that thread yesterday but didn't even bother reading it so maybe I'm out the loop.

Mikey is my guy after floyd. WHile I wouldn't put him in the p4p rankings now its notr a crime if some do. its just a simple disagreement. Its not like Mikey has gotten anywhere near the ridiculous **** that broner and matthysse get.

JuanMa is a good win? he just got KO'd and lost twice to Salido, then beat a tomato can. This is what you called a hyped up win.
