Comments Thread For: Golovkin Wants Andre Ward, Chavez Jr. in The Future

I looked through his boxrec and watched list last five fights and I only see him fighting poor opposition what's the hype about? I mean Proksa is a solid win but he's just like any other European bum...Comment

You're right man, his comp lags far behind his hype. But unlike most up and comers, he seems willing to fight anyone no question. Ortiz is a bit like that, but with a lot more losing and quitting.Comment

Ortiz has a better resume than Golovkin. Come on man, for a world champion GGG has been fighting nothing but bums.Comment

Anyway: are you able to name a top fighter who had called Golovkin so far? I can't...Comment

I dont think Chavez is the ussy that people think he is. He ducked Sergio but the truth is he wasnt ready. He knew it and so did everyone else. Its not his fault that they were dumb enough to give him a belt. When he was ready, they fought. Still, he knew Sergio was a mover so he wasnt as confident.
Triple G may be a punching machine but I seriously believe that neither Jr. or Sr. think that anyone at 160 can stand toe to toe with him for 12 rounds. They think he's too big & strong. I think they would be very open to taking on Triple G after a tuneupComment

That's not for the lack of trying. Hell, his first TV date was supposed to be against fellow champ Pirog, then Proksa stepped in after bigger names like Quillin and Macklin passed after Pirog dropped out.
Ortiz has certainly fought better fighters, not sure if that means better resume if he's mostly losing. You realize he's never beaten a top 10 contender at a regulation weight, 140 or 147? His sole top 10 win came at a CW he requested.Comment

No body wants to fight him cuz he can't sell for ****. What's so spectacular about that? He needs to fight a former world champ or something. All he's fought are contenders with more than four L's on their record and bums from Europe. I see the potential but he's what 31 years old and has the resume of a young prospect?Comment
