To me David Haye is the biggest puncher on the list pound for pound. The only reason he is overlooked is because people don't like him. He gets everything behind his punches like Matthyse, but with a lot more speed.
Wlad is not in the poll because he's bigger than most of his opposition and he went the distance with several fighters that were much smaller than him. He's the hardest puncher in terms of absolute power but not relative to his size.

Deontay Wilder.....................
I had a limited number of options in the poll. I was thinking of adding him and removing one of the other names, but the thing is every guy on the list KO'd a current or former world champ, Wilder has yet to do that.

Hardest puncher ain't even listed.. Matthysse's power is being extremely overrated, probably even more than Maidana's was. He must be SOOO ****ing powerful to KD an out of form Zab Judah, KO a weak-looking Peterson and Josesito's leftovers, smh... Haye is the hardest hitter on the list, the rest aren't even close..
Zab : "Danny has good skills. Danny is a good strong puncher too, but no disrespect to Danny - nothing like Lucas. Lucas punches hard with either hand."
Former champion Zab Judah has now been in the ring with both Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs) and Lucas Matthysse (33-2, 31KOs) - and indicates that Matthysse is a much harder puncher than Garcia. Judah won a razor-thin twelve round split decision over Matthysse in 2010 and lost a twelve round decision to Garcia on Saturday night.
Matthysse has been the mandatory challenger to Garcia's WBC junior welterweight title for some time but the fight never seems to come together. If Matthysse beats IBF champion Lamont Peterson on May 18th, Golden Boy appears to be ready to put him in the ring with Garcia.

How the f*** Donaire aint in the choices ? In his last 10 fights he dropped 9 of his opponents during the fight and the only one who wasnt dropped is Narvaez who just went to get his paycheck. He was fighting top opposition in these fights.
I know some people get impressed with Golovkin and Matthysse knocking bums but I have way more respect for somebody who dropped a guy like Rigondeaux during a fight
He could have easily been on the list, as well as guys like Mares, Garcia and Maidana. However I didn't feel like adding those guys at this point in time. Get the sand out of your vagina and click "other".
Dropping Rigondeaux is what most people expected, in fact most people expected Rigondeaux to stay down for the count.
Matthyse is the hardest hitting fighter in boxing right now. He doesn't rely on volume or the element of surprise to knock his opponent out. He has legitimate one punch knock out power.
Kovalev is equally effective at getting opponents out of there, but he merely has good power with great angles, relentless pressure, and heavy volume.
Golovkin and Donaire are also heavy handed fighters who deserve consideration for this title, but neither is quite as beastly as Matthyse.
By the way, Bermane Stiverne is the hardest hitting heavyweight in the world, with much heavier hands than Haye.
It's hard to imagine why both he and Donaire were left off of this list.
Disagree.
Heavier hands? Perhaps, but Haye's speed and explosive delivery makes him the harder puncher...and he's not even a proper HW. I would put big money on Haye stopping Arreola.
