Indeed he is, but so was Chisora.

Guys with iron chins can be stopped when they get hit by big punches that they don't see. HW's tend to be slow and straight forward so guys see the shots coming, Haye's speed and counter shots let him sneak big shots through that guys aren't braced for.

Good to see Haye getting his due respect here. People def overlook him because they don't like him. But essentially he's a CW KOing heavyweights. Rocked Valuev as the only person to date, ko'd Ruiz as the first person in 15 years, Ko'd Chisora as the first person, even rocked Wlad. Danny Williams said Haye hit as hard as Vitali in sparring. That's got to say something.

Whether or not he's the biggest P4P puncher in the world I'm not sure. It's easier to judge the lower weights.

Wladimir Klitschko is the hardest puncher P4P. Lucas Matthysse comes in second.

            Haye obviously.

He hits that hard i reckon he could knockout a prime George Foreman if he hit him flush. Shame he has a weak ass mentality.

            And i am being serious.

I don't know if GGG has the the SINGLE hardest punch, but it seems he has a lot of power in every punch and can throw hard from anywhere. If you added up all the force from every punch, I would put GGG at the top of the list.

He is a bit like Tyson in that sense, not the biggest shot, but every shot has leverage and power and they add up scary quick!

This impresses me more than having one big punch because I can knock guys down with a straight right, and my jab is pretty stiff, but my left hook/uppercut is basically for show.

Fighting guys that can hurt you with every punch changes everything. You can't avoid every shot, so its hard to focus on which punches to focus on, and its easy to get overwhelmed and loose your rhythm and confidence. You need to be very athletic, smart and experienced to deal with this kind of power.

If I know you only have a good jab and a hard right and that's it, I'm going to avoid that pretty easy while setting up my own shots.

If you can hit me hard with everything, then I know from experience that I'm out of your league, and the fight probably won't go my way even if my hard right is stronger than yours.

Martinez? KO'd 3 times in the four fights before Maidana with one draw to add. Hardly enough to prove you've changed 'heaps and bounds' and certainly none of them are on Khan's level or anyone else at world level.

And Lopez was a good win, i'll give him that. But if you think those three mediocre wins is enough to cut it at world level, that's on you. Alexander would still beat him.
Angel was a small tune up fight in Argentina.. not to be scrutinized overmuch. Karass dropped some decisions to mike jones and lost that fight you talking about not right before, and it was by a nasty cut, not a knockout. He had never before been properly stopped in the true sense of the word.

Yes I think Lopez is semi world level. He broke Ortiz's jaw who has been part of the biggest show in boxing against Floyd. Karass beat Aydin who gave Ghost so much trouble, yet Maidana blasted through the guy and stopped him properly for the first time. Plus lets see how Karass fares against Berto. The Karass and Lopez wins are solid, even good. And great foreshadowing to the heights Maidana can reach. People can continue to doubt, saying guys like Matts and Broner would destroy Chino, but they will be proved wrong, one by one. Just like with Lopez.

Meanwhile Khan, who is supposedly world level, is busy getting rocked and going life and death with guys like Diaz. He was world level once, but not anymore.

Lopez is a good win, no matter how you slice it. Retrospective hate aside. Its guys like you was predicting Lopez to outbox Maidana. Karass is a solid win as well. Maidana aint had Garcia in his corner for Devon or Khan. Now he throwing that nice jab a lot more and showing some instincts for defense. Punch mitigation, rolling, weaving. All thanks to Garcia, imo. You are dealing with a different guy than earlier. I always knew he had world class heart and power, but now he's working on his skills too and he's a true student of the game as Garcia says. Watch.
