Money talks..and Floyd isn't paying himself..he can't guarantee himself a purse. GBP guarantees that purse and now showtime does.. Floyd didn't sign a $200 million dollar bonus..he signed an agreement where can't make less than $200 for his last six fights..thus meaning Showtime is guaranteeing him his money no matter how bad the event does. So again is someone else is cutting you a check how are you the boss?

After you read that, come back to me and tell me again that it's Golden Boy that pays his purse or guarantees him any money. Golden Boy has nothing to do with his money. And you think Floyd Mayweather would leave HBO, where he controlled the cards, and switch to another network, and have less power? He has even more leverage/power than he did with HBO. And that's why the deal was made.

I'm saying that the mayweathers were genuinely concerned and tried their best to get an even bigger advantage against a green Canelo.

I hear what he's saying. The person who needs the fight the most and is not the main draw has no leverage. Why is everyone acting like De La Hoya did Floyd any favors. No one talked bad about Oscar. All you heard was delusional fans saying that Oscar won.
